God I hate this so much. So many better ways to word it, but coming from you on this forum, is no surprise.

Couldn't care at all, don't like it ignore it and don't read it simple.

Considering I've actually been applauded for my research on here you're probably barking up the wrong tree too.

Never minded a bit of Mumfords at a festival. 90 minutes of a toe tap and a bad dance.

Any word of Stromae coming back to health?

So apparently he was open to bookings for 2026 but haven’t heard anything since.  Good that his health is clearly improving though

For discussions on the big European festivals that are never to your taste in any form from Graspop to Primavera to Tomorrowland to Wacken, maybe this scene isnt for you.

General negativity for years.

So who we thinking next week? Is it going to be another one of the more obvious ones that have been announced elsewhere (Jack White, Mumford & Sons or TWOD) to co-headline with The XX or will that big tour everyone has been talking about for a while know suddenly appear?

In pretty much 2 weeks the tickets go on sale so I’m personally expecting 1 headliner plus a package however it seems to me that we still need 2 and a package before then

Think it's Armistice Day next Tuesday isn't it? Not sure if that affects announcement schedule at all? Is it 80 year anniversary since WWII so maybe bigger event that usual too.

Was Lorde ruled out? Been named at Solen in Denmark mid August, so perhaps points at Pukkelpop.

just a little note on the Foos (personal opinion)....

what they have announced so far for 2026 seems to be the initial plans for what 2025 might have looked like if they didn't take that little break.

the US dates are missing some cities which they hit in 2024 and made up of places they didn't visit.

i think the plan for UK / Europe in 2025 was for them to do Leeds/Reading..liklely Ireland and hit Europe in the places they didn't do in 2024. In 2024 they headlined RW (i was there...it rocked). I think it would be a shock if they played RW again 2 years later especially when it looks to be a case of moving 2025 loose commitments into 2026.

I could be completely wrong and if they do RW it could be they have looked for festivals with spaces around the dates they are in Europe and the stars have aligned.

You mean the tomorrowland I try for every year right?, and the Rock IM Park I have a ticket? Wacken would never be for me and I never ever ever try and suggest it would be because its an all out heavy metal festival that I wouldn't go to, sorry for not liking all out heavy metal that pleases your entitled self.

I used to really love hanging out on this forum (and defo stopped posting for a bit) but this constant battling of these past few weeks has not made me want to come back. I know it's gonna be a complicated task but can't we just go back to respectful and happy posting without constantly trying to annoy each other? It’s exhausting, and it pushes people away from wanting to be part of this place.

Yeah, people are just on ignore now that I've no time for and moved on.

They've already skipped not doing Nova Rock this year.

I think it will probably be the missing Thursday headliner to complete the headliner roster. Then some bigger names.

Considering the names that we know are available around RW, and unless there is a surprise from a band that hasn't announced their tour plans yet, I am looking forward to the first package of names more than the final (1-3) headliners.

Moby, A Perfect Circle, Richard Ashcroft, Pendulum, David Byrne, Matt Berninger, Pixies, The Reytons, Blood Incantation, Maruja, etc, etc....who am I forgetting? Probably many. But high possibilities for a stacked undercard.

I would love it if we got a pendulum/deadmau5/skrillex/justice/royksopp type act

NOS and Werchter always share a headliner so presumably their Saturday one will also be Werchter’s Thursday (plus other fests I guess).  Sort of indicates it will be a big act that wants to announce all in one go

In regards to other acts that I’d presume will be there - Wolf Alice, Teddy Swims, The Last Dinner Party, Ethel Cain and The Viagra Boys must all be very likely

I checked that RW2025 had 7 names of RW2023.

Following the same pattern, here is my wishlist of 7 bands touring next year, that were already here 2 years ago and has done new stuff since :

Tom Morello (singles), Sprints, The Last Dinner Party, Idles, Parcels, Loyle Carner and Scowl

Unfortunatley I think you're right about the recycling, but I'd take Morello and Hives back.

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
