I'll forget your opinion is the only opinion on festivals that matter in the universe and if you feel its correct then it is right.

You wasn't giving an opinion though.

How do you think Charli,Sabrina and Chappel were only sub headliners in 2025? When they played major festivals 2025.

Same with XX who have already headlined major festivals. Then you claim they are not major festival headliners.

Have a little bit of intelligence.

Why does everybody talks about the Foo’s? Is there any indication that they will come?

Absolutely nothing.  Well I say that, there was a supposed Mad Cool leak which had them on it (although the leak had the wrong dates so maybe it wasn’t a leak) and they are due to tour, but that’s it

Current best bet is they'll sub to Sabrina or maybe be in the Barn during Chappell Roan.

Thought if other people were making up band placements I'd have some fun too...

In reality, Foos rumours come from the speculation of an incoming EU tour, the NOS Alive promoter sharing them on his Instagram and them needing another headliner, and Mad Cool maybe extending to another day. They've played Belgium much more recently than Spain or Portugal so even if they're doing festivals there it remains to be seen if they come to RW too.

When did the foos get announced 😉

They didn't lol, that's why it says ff Foos agreed to play with them after. I just dont know why they would need to. That would be huge though.

Well I was. I said one band that's been announced were Werchter shouldn't be headlining, another agreed who likes them but because I said it that's part that matters. Forget inteligence, that's just pure ignorance to exaggerate whatvwas said based on one band. Maybe have some yourself pal before you claim things have been said that haven't. I didn't say the others weren't, I also didn't say others couldn't like them but then the entourage comes marching in giving the big it's rubbish because you don't like it bull which wasn't said at all. I've actually very clearly also said, it is what it is so if that's what they book don't go so why bloody it up. Why would I ever want to think aboit talking aboit things, or if you need an ear and all that shite with people who you call out like that? Barmby, double standard and two faced.

Other than that I really don't care, it's been a rubbish day.

Btw, for all this Foos or not talk I’d prefer it to be them on the Thursday as I do think it’ll give the festival more balance.  I also think whoever the Thursday is will be seen as the biggest ticket seller of the weekend (did they announce LP last too?!) and there aren’t that many other names out there that match them

So it could be

Foo Fighters

XX + 1

Gorillaz + 21P

The Cure

That would pretty solid.

Florence the missing link on XX day?

Florence is playing in Milan on the XX day, which makes her only possible with an unbelievably strong Cure co-headline

I can see a coheadline with the XX though, Mumfords perhaps? Even though I really hope some headliner level acts still have to surface...The Strokes and The Killers have some very lonely American festival appearances in store for march/april, for example...

Oh yes, forgot mumfords been talked about on here. Probably the right headliner for a co header spot with XX.

Foo Fighters themselves said that announcements for European shows was coming soon when they announced their US stadium tour the other week. So something from them is coming, and yeah, the Mad Cool/NOS stuff feels like a very strong hint Euro festivals might be on their agenda.

Yeah, apart from that NOS speculation there is no real idea if it's stadiums or festivals yet though. Arguably more money for the band in the former. Don't think they're doing any US fests are they?

I'm a little surprised by how popular Mumford and Sons are. I remember them being around in the early 2010s with a few songs, but largely I've forgotten them since then

I remember once they were guests on a TV show that I had tickets for and I found Marcus to be pretty funny when he joined in with the show, but the song they played I did find quite boring. And it wasn't the banjo stuff they were famous for when they broke through but more like a piano ballad.

I thought they had faded a little but clearly there's enough residual popularity that they're doing a big European arena tour in Nov/Dec. On that subject, maybe any announcement of them at this is being held back until after their Belgian show next week.

So far the only major US announcement they've made is for the dates with QOTSA. Even then that still left out some big markets like New York, Texas and California so I imagine they're not done with US announcements either.

But as far as Europe goes, I thought the speculation was UK stadiums and European festivals. I could be wrong on that though.

Yeah Mumford and Sons are a pretty reliable headliner in Belgium. Their show sold out really quickly and according to Festileaks there are like 4000 people wanting tickets on a ticket swap website. Would be pretty surprised if they're not on the RW lineup this year.

Speculation is exactly that though until it's proven one way or the other!

I have always thought Mumfords have played the festival scene very well, to give themselves longevity.

They've never been a foo fighters or Metallica, guaranteed ticket sellers. But done well being high up on bills for so long.

Where theres quite a few acts have over played festivals, people got a tad jaded by it all. For example the likes of Muse, and particularly Editors in belguim and Holland.

Ehhh, their headlining day at Pinkpop 2019 didn't exactly sell well. They've been lucky to coast by for so long. I also question whether any of the four major Dutch festivals would currently book them again as a headliner.

They will definitely be Thursday if they are there, they won't be playing second on Friday that's an absolute guarantee. The only possible chance they aren't closing Thursday is if they agree to play is if they agree to play for a dance closer.

God I hate this so much. So many better ways to word it, but coming from you on this forum, is no surprise.
