I've filled in the wishlist for 2027 and this is my selection:

The Strokes (headliner)

FVLCRVM (local)

Jeff Rosenstock (never-seen)

ascendant vierge (dance)

Robyn (latest obsession)

Nine Inch Nails (legend)

What's yours?

And I keep asking for him in every Primavera survey for years. I even mentioned him when I was stopped during 2018 edition by a Primavera interviewer to answer some questions about the festival.

2027, maybe?

Next. I don't think they'll announce during the cuidad week

They did it last year. I remember being in full Barcelona sight-seeing mode (it was on Monday) when the news about the Levi's Plaza came out (with Rigoberta Bandini, that's why I remember it). And I'm almost sure it wasn't the last stage they announced.

You remember right. They did make announcements on this very last minute and could do again.

According to the app, the Opening Day is sold out. I don't think this ever happened before.

What surprises me is how much it's in their interest to cram people in and make money at the bar. It's never felt that busy.

Nothing is going in that occident gap on saturday. Decibels reserved for MBV surely! Going to be LOUD

Will the noise restrictions not prevent this? I would've guessed they can't be much louder than the other headliners.

The Avalanches DJ Set at Cupra Pulse added to the app. 9pm on Friday.

Edit: full Cupra Pulse lineup.

Some interesting names, but the only one that is not clashing with anything essential for me is Brutalismus 3000. However,  I'm sure I won't be able to get in 2:45 and I'm not willing to queue there much earlier when I can watch PinkPantheress instead. So, it looks like, once again, no Cupra Pulse for me this year.

Yeah, you basically have to give up an act before to get in. On Fri, although a few here have said The Avalanches DJ set is not great I'm still tempted to skip Rilo Kiley and head there after Slowdive, then run to The Cure.

My Saturday is too packed to even wonder about what The Skrillex curated thing will look like.

The concept of queuing a long time for a DJ (as good as they might be) while in the middle of a festival featuring 16 stages always baffled me a bit.

As usual I'll be checking out this stage early on when it's empty, never to come back again.

Exactly.

Let's hope there are some interesting names on the additional "open" stages, like Levi's Plaza or the new backstage thingy.

I'm not a fan of the queuing aspect at all but some DJs I've seen have been more fun than a lot of bands. So you never know, it could be worth occasionally it if the queue is not ridiculous.

Recently at Primavera I think of Four Tet, Floating Points, Barry Can't Swim, DJ Seinfeld, DJ Shadow, Jeff Mills and probably others I'm forgetting. Granted, they were all at outdoor stages!

Yeah, completely agree: FOMO trigger trash.

I may try to give a look at what the queue looks like for The Avalanches (not much going on at that time anyway), and I may give it a spin for Mina Galàn if I feel like having 30 mins of extra music after Yosuke closes the festival - other than that, I doubt I'll even consider the stage

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
