That doesn’t seem to be an issue at any other festival. Certainly wasn’t at Glastonbury this weekend. Primavera is a very friendly crowd, it’s an unnecessary confer

Not true at all. It’s the same policy at all the Spanish festivals I’ve been to and googling shows it’s common in much of Europe and even saw bottle tops were banned at.a Coldplay concert (not known for violent fans).

You’re right it’s not common at all in the UK but it is elsewhere.

any recommendations on accomodation?

something not private for 3 people, not too expensive?

Loads of options, I’d get on booking.com around November and go for the area around Sao Bento, way more affordable than most major European destinations, especially when compared to BCN the last 5/6 years

Fourtet is playing two days? Must be to make up for his lack of previous appearances 😉

And looking forward to seeing My Bloody Valentine in the small font!

I love the new Clipse album. Some will think it's too soon but I'd like to see them return next year.

Only two EU dates announced, and no Spain of course. PS could happen again. Hell, Charli and Troye played the festivals two years in a row.

Yeah same. Really need a strong hip hop act for next year

New Deftones album coming soon and no Spain dates on their tour next year, it's not a huge tour tbf but I'd love them to come back too

I love both acts and wouldn't be opposed to them being there but given they'd get quite big slots I'd prefer a bit more variance. I know primavera has been rebooking a lot of acts quite frequently though.

Let's see who starts to announce tours for next year. With Clipse and Deftones I don't mind repeating as they have new material at least. But yea they would need to be on Mordor now to change it up

I found my 2017 cup the other day, Slayer on the lineup. Now that was a great booking. In fact the whole lineup was incredible

2017 was indeed an incredible edition, even without Frank Ocean.

As for 2026, with Kevin Parker now teasing the album and his surprise DJ appearance this year, I do think we will get Tame Impala again (alongside The xx, Lorde, Doechii and - of course - Portishead)

I want Blood Orange to return after 12 years. He is releasing a new album and is touring in europe in november with no spanish date and is calling it "Tour Part 1 - 2025". Also he might be a fit for one of the main stage slots before Lorde. He teased a feature with her and contributed to her album.

Do we think the 1975 could be a headliner?

I personally don't think so. They've never been booked at any point in their career. Doesn't seem like Primavera are interested in them. Think they'll continue to get booked by places like Mad Cool instead.

    • Possibly not as there are chair size restrictions in the seated area, for the guidelines see here -  https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/bring   Have a look into applying for Access and I would recommend contacting them for further advice before buying a ticket - https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/access  They should also be able to answer if you can take a wheelchair into the seated area 🙂
