thats a shock they have that opener already set up when normally it comes with the final poster and schedule obviously. One less thing to chat about. On paper its fine, but i mean they barely played 3 years ago. Unless theyre doing the I Should Coco album straight through then it wont be anything special

I read it as opening Other. I love them. Pyramid is decent slot.

Supergrass are a waste of a spot? Give your head a wobble. Great band with great songs and are incredibly good live.

I read the other post as meaning the poster thought that putting Supergrass on that early was a waste - as in they are too good (in the posters' opinion) for that slot?

What a f**king waste of a slot. FFS

It's a band that plenty will want to see, first in the day to get people out of bed and circulating. Seems like a pretty sensible placement tbh.

Opening either of the main stages is a crap gig really. Crowd are always sleepy and you get no TV coverage either.

Love Supergrass though. One of the most underrated bands from their era.

Yeah the poster explained. It wasn't clear tbf and could be read either way.

Supergrass are awesome. I'd personally rather see them later in the day too. I never get to the main stages that early.

Where do we think John Fogerty is playing? Can't be headlining WH against Neil?

Am I right in thinking some healiners get a say in their subs? radiohead/xx - coldplay/simz?

fog>neil
raye>xcx
makes the most sense, but then this is glasto.

Raye is sub, that placement was just about confirmed by the article.

Would expect Fogerty 3rd down. Maybe 4th down if there's a someone (Pulp as a TBA?) to be added.

I was on the fence about the resale but now 100% in. Although probably just setting myself up for total disappointment....

this is pretty much the same boat I find myself sitting in right now.

oh... and I hate The 1975 too... 🙂

    • Id suggest they would need another new album before they play again - Otherwise the show is going to probably be very similar to the one they played at the last festival.
    • Absolutely not, I dont know of it selling out but they needed TFG and Skyvip to shift them. Biffy aren't either and they didn't go to TFG and I wouldn't say Kasabian are either and they sold it out the quickest. Liam Gallagher did Finsbury Park as well and subbed the Pyramid Stage, Noah Kahan did two nights at BST and subbed the Pyramid though that's a rare one. Finsbury itself will definitely not grant you top spot, that field can hold 100k      That's fair. I'm definitely in the camp myself that Fender and Harry are most likely.

    • I don't think he will announce restarting north sea drilling.    He'll hint at it instead and kick it down the road.   And the plan isn't for new licenses anyway.
    • LCD Soundsystem seem perfect for the outdoor circuit. I could definitely see them doing that.
