Oasis and Foo Fighters in a single year for Glastonbury feels too big. Not implausible, of course - get the hunch FF are happy to play for chips.

If nothing acts agree to it and want it then it's not. Glastonbury got Dua Lipa who went on to sell out stadiums, that show probably helped which is fair and although they love it, Coldplay who can sell Wembley out 15x over. Biggest bands in the world right now.

If you get 'em, get 'em. Two very proven live draws with cross-generational appeal.

Think you do need a female headliner in there though. Feels very sausage-y.

Naturally you'd have a female headliner as the other one.

I think Oasis is the act that was in tbe eavis thoughts when moving the fallow year and doing what many would say was early and if Foos happen I reckon that just happens to have fell into place. If Dave didnt have his moment, they'd have played Reading this year, likely do their own shows next year and Glastonbury would have been too far away to be booked. It would be touring all 25 with big UK date, 26 with big UK dates and Glastonbury right at the end suddenly wouldn't seem a draw. But I definitely don't think if they've sold the stadium tour out before Reading headliners are even announced on tbe scene and on sale it'll matter. I'd also suggest, had the original plan happened, their own tour could well be bigger than the now plan but we'll see.

The same corporate link has got me into 3 Oasis shows on this tour (and will be going back next weekend) and I'm not hearing so far Oasis 2027 (although that same link said Oasis not playing next year anywhere but doing shows 2027 so who knows)

I am hearing Swifty and Foos for Glasto 2027 though....With it being the start of Swifty's world tour - although subject to weddings and pregnancies on her part...so her tour is tentative...

Swift owes them one, but that's interesting to get some clarification on the plans behind Showgirl. One assumes she's taking 2026 off the road - had thought she might play through the summer but basically in hyper-limited engagements.

Very interesting if her 2027 world tour was to fold in festivals though. Maybe she's realised she can't top The Eras Tour yet and is returning to that Lover-era route plan.

I'm of the opinion that the fallow next year is due to personal reasons rather than any acts availability.

Jesus Foos, Oasis and Swifty would be massive. You're not beating that probably ever again

Definitely this, plus the site clearly needed a big overhaul and an extra year gives them a lot more time to consider how they move forward with that. I'm still sticking with my prediction of Radiohead, Chappell Roan and Harry Styles from earlier in the thread

To be honest i thought this was obvious, particularly as the festival hasn't been back THAT long after covid 😔

Maybe it was.  It's a sensitive subject I guess...

Also, it's just reverting back to the same pattern as if covid wasn't a thing - maybe they had 5 year land contracts etc that need renegotiating.

But it could work out well for headliners as a side effect 🙂

I think I’m missing something here.
