thats 2027 mate

to me this hints at a new record.  I could be wrong.

not being an oasis fan, do people want a new oasis record or do they want them to just continue the nostalgia?

Its an 11 not an II. i think its pointing to Nov this year

so its 202511.

Take that completely out the equation ?

You'd have presumed that with the Radio 2-ification of the pyramid stage over the last decade or two, there would have been a spot for Take That - prime afternoon toot, or even headline in a really desperate year.

Barlow clearly wants it, but (thankfully, for my own prejudices) Emily appears to have absolutely no interest whatsoever. I'm pretty sure they've said they've never been asked. And its not just a straight down the line ban on manufactured managed pop, cos other bands and artists in that same vein have played, albeit a lot of smaller spots on Avalon or whatever.

Williams is a different case for the 'legend' spot, he'll clearly rock up one of these years - but i hope they stay steadfast on No Barlow 👍

headline or nothing in my opinion ... definately have the material for it even if it might not be liked by many . Just thought with the tour next year they may be in the equation for 27 ? agree though that the lack of interest so far may be telling

I'd love to see Take That do it, but I don't think it'd ever happen. If they were ever to have non solo doing the Legend spot, it'd be tremendous.

I never thought about it but yeah all the legend slots have been solo acts havent they.  I count Jeff/ELO in this

How much have MCR been mentioned in this thread?

Saw them a couple of weeks back at a festival in Atlanta and it was one of the best live shows I've ever seen, the whole spectable and theme would fit perfectly on the Pyramid.

Suspect they may be taking a break in '27

A proper now generation hopping band who have a catalogue of great songs, a rabid fan base and brilliant live show.

Should deffo be high up on their list to get to play as soon as possible

mad to me how different things are for Raye in the UK vs America.

02 Capacity is 20K, six nights. Here in New York she's doing 2 nights at radio city which is barely 6K (granted, they are both sold out) and theatres half that size throughout the rest of the country.  That's quite an achievement for any artist, dont get me wrong, but going by american numbers alone you wouldnt guess she'd be headlining festivals anywhere.  fairplay to her. I reckon if she continues this trajectory she will absolutely be headlining the pyramid at some stage.  '28 is more likely in my mind.

There's always a sense of regional variation with these things though, right? I've mentioned elsewhere The Killers sell out stadiums here in the UK then go to France and are a sub-headliner or playing 5/6k venues. Or indeed the fact Kasabian never quite managed to get anything outside the UK to the same level as they did here.

I suspect they might see their 3 nights at Wembley next summer be enough for the time being. Guess it depends if Glasto sees them as attainable a booking tbf.

I've been listening to an awful lot of Willie Nelson recently and can't help thinking he'd make an amazing headliner. Given his age you'd have to have a strong back-up plan but it could down as one of the best in the festival's history. His new stuff is a good as his classic songs and with hundreds of songs to his name he wouldn't be short of pickings for a 2-3 hour setlist - that's without playing any of his covers which is unlikely. Only complication is he's doing a farewell tour in 2026 but could see that being extending into 2027 if he wants it to do a few festivals. I know he played lower slots in the past but given his status has only risen in the past 15 years I don't see anything wrong with bumping him to a headliner.

He's actually played a couple of times before. I think he may have done the legend slot in the early 2000s?

He's played twice. Once in the legends slot in 2000 and once as an early act on the Friday in 2010 where he was forced to cram 30 songs into an hour. I'm suggesting he should be invited back as a full headliner so he can have a proper go at it. He'd smash the Saturday night slot out the park with a 120-150 minute slot to showcase his full back catalogue.

    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
