So as sh*tty is you think it is, it sold out. All 250k worth of tickets.

Popular festivals still sell out when they have a sh*tty lineup year.  You told us that about Glastonbury.. and still travelled 5000 miles to attend it.

I was about to say, Glastonbury has less tickets across two weekends than Coachella, but when was the last time it took longer than a day for it to sell out?

When was the last time it took longer than 1hr 40 to sell out lol.

We all know that Glastonbury would sell out inside a few hours if it was held over two full weekends.

For shits.

this is my current guess

Fontaines DC

Sam Fender

Chappell Roan

Legend, Stevie Nicks

That would result in larger amount of tickets going back in the pot and without a decent undercard, not a massive resale response. Nicks would be great but the rest isn't saying come and watch us here as it's hard to see us elsewhere.

Florence is a weird one now, It'll be 12 years next Glasto since she last played and she absolutely loves the festival, but cant see where you'd place her on the lineup now if she did play again.

She was offered a secret set a few years back - which would have been a decent face-saving compromise - but seems like she told them to stick it.

To be fair a secret set after stepping in to headline and doing well is a bit of a kick.

Still stand by my belief that what was I was told was correct, and that she was pencilled in to headline the 2021 festival had covid not happened. Though obviously a lot has changed since then, and don't think she'd get the call anymore.

Surprised this flew out.

Solid headliners I guess - although top names seem similar enough in stature to last years which struggled loads. A fair bit more modern for the headliners I guess.

Glastonbury will not have a problem shifting tickets in the resale after the fallow year.  It may not attract much new blood but there's plenty of people who want to be back there regardless.

Chappell / Fontaines / Fender + Stevie Nicks would be the youngest headline trio ever and a timeless legend.

If by new blood you mean young people, it would definitely do well in the resale to attract them. My group would be over the moon with this set of 4.

Definitely won't be getting older people going crazy - but anyone who has an interest in newer music will be very happy with this.

I wasn't really thinking about age. By new blood I meant people who've not been before and maybe don't realise the value of the offering outside of the main stages.

It would have to be something pretty major for Glasto to not sell out these days.

A few years of biblical weather might do it, but even then I think it would sell out regardless.

Having a fallow year should more than make up for it. Not sure its too big an issue anyway!
