Won some tickets through the co-op competition - but just super unsure on how it works. They've said:

"You will receive your tickets via online redemption code, these are sent out via email usually 1 week prior to the festival."

Has anbody gone through this process and can explain how it all works - am I or my guest sent a link to the Glastonbury ticket page with a code?? Do we collect at the box office?? Super confusing stuff.

So in a twisted turn of events - Co-op are refusing the entry, I already had my own ticket which I was lucky enough to get in the main sale, but my girlfriend and I provided her registration and her friends. We weren't aware that the entry is non-transferable or exchangeable.

My girlfriends Dad passed away earlier this year so its absolutely devastating this is happening after the year she's had already, real crap.

Have been having back and forth with co-op on this and they're just refusing to budge or provide any discrestion, its so heartbreaking.

Would they accept your reg so that you and she can go?

If you had ticket protection I think you'd potentially get a refund

Easy to say in retrospect, but I'd have just ditched your purchased ticket and given your and your girlfriend's names to Co-op.

What I'll do if I strike gold in any of the various comos I've entered

I think you had to be registered, so there would already be a ticket against his reg and their rules state it has to be the competition winner and a guest (who's also registered)

Ah, if that's the case that would definitely scupper that move

This is why I'm always reluctant to enter competitions on other peoples behalf for Glastonbury and prefer to pass the codes on rather than get involved myself.

I don’t think you do, just if you win you have to then register. So you could just register again.

Fair enough.

Guess I would have done as @clarkete had suggested, taken the two winning tickets then tried to either get a refund or sell on at face value for the other one that the winner already had.

The T&C's do state that the prize is non transferable, however it doesn't state that the winner must not already have a ticket as far as I can see.

The deadline to cancel your own ticket is midnight today, I feel it's definitely worth a try to get back in touch with them, plead ignorance to the T&C's and see if you and your girlfriend can use the competition tickets.

Good luck! 🤞🏻

I’d agree . Nothing lost if it doesn’t work out
