Did you manage to get a pack with this year's competition on? I can try to get you one tomorrow as a few of our local supermarkets have had them, though you'll need to get the entry in before midnight!

They normally run in the weeks before. When I won with BBC Asian Network in 2023 the comp was the 9th June. I’ve checked the schedules but can’t seem to find anything mentioned yet but definitely keep an eye on the bbc sounds website

Good for the winner, congrats, but I would never enter one of these radio call-in competitions; the thought of being one of the two to get on the air and then lose, it's just too painful to even contemplate... I'd rather not try than run the risk of having to assimilate that level of near-miss heartbreak into my life!

Naaaaa it's so fun! The rush. The pure adrenaline! I've done a few radio comps in my time and I love the buzz.

Eeeek can't quite believe it, but this was me! 🤩 I'd been lurking on every forum and reddit thread for months scouting last min competitions and volunteering opportunities, after we were unsuccessful in November sales and April resales.

 

The rollercoaster was real - the disappointment hearing you're the reserve caller, then some selfish joy when line 1 gets the answer wrong, to pure panic realising you could also fumble it up, to pure JOY!

 

It ain't over til it's over - see you on the farm! (I promise not to lurk so much and actually contribute a bit now 😅)

It says somewhere about 'reasonable travel' which I'm curious to see what they agree to or offer, given I'm coming down from Edinburgh.
