2 tickets being given away on Radio 2 Scott Mills breakfast show. Details off the BBC website...

3. At some point during the Radio 2 Scott Mills Breakfast show on 9-13 June 2025, listeners will be given a cue to call to enter the competition. From that moment listeners have 30 minutes to call 08000 2 88 291 and get through where they will have to correctly answer a qualifying question. Successful callers will be scored based on their enthusiasm and desire to win the tickets. The phone operators will shortlist a selection of entrants with the highest overall scores. Shortlisted entrants will be called back in order of their scores (with the highest scoring entrant being called first). If the call is not answered on the first attempt, or if there is no answer after 30 seconds of the phone ringing, or the shortlisted entrant is rude or abusive or refuses to go on-air, then they will not take part in the competition. The entrant with the next highest score will be called and so on. Entrants will then have five seconds to answer a Glastonbury-related question correctly. The entrant must correctly answer three questions in a row to win the prize. If the entrant incorrectly answers any question they will be immediately knocked-out of the competition and it will move onto the next entrant. If by the end of the Radio 2 Scott Mills Breakfast show on 11th June 2025 no winner has been found the competition will roll-over into the Radio 2 Scott Mills Breakfast show the next day. The competition will continue to roll-over to the next Radio 2 Scott Mills Breakfast show until a winner is found. The mechanic and registration will reset each day.

What were the questions? I tried to get through and failed then had to do the school run so missed the comp.

Sadly I am at work so haven't been able to listen since they announced it. I've asked my Mum and partner to text me if they hear Rod 😆 But I don't know if it's happened yet and they've missed the queue.

Will they play Rod every day? Or is it just one cue to call and then those people might get called back during the week?

Just caught the end of the 1Extra comp - an American girl won and is planning to propose to her partner (who is from Pilton) at the festival ❤️💍

Cute!

It was very cute!

Got an email on Wednesday last week to say that I had won a pair of tickets to Glastonbury in the Clipper Tea competition. I entered this competition in early April.

However, my wife and I got tickets in the coach resale. The problem with the tickets we have is that they are coach + tickets from York on the Thursday. This means that we would be getting there late afternoon that day. My wife and I live in London, meaning we have booked a hotel and a train to York on the Wednesday so we could get our Thursday morning coach from York. Never in a million years did we think we would win a competition as well.

I have been to 7 of the last 8 Glastonburys (missed out in 2023) and I am fully aware of how difficult it is to get tickets and was prepared to get anything as long as it meant me and my wife could go this year.

Therefore, getting this email didn't feel quite as special as it would have if I'd missed out on the resale! Since then, I have emailed the festival and they have said it should be fine for us to use the competition tickets instead so that we can then get to the festival early on the Wednesday and save us a trip to York (although we will go another time). However, we wouldn't be able to get a refund on the original (got refund protection but it won't cover winning a competition after getting resale tickets, but I don't expect anyone here to care about that). They didn't answer my question about how it works in regards to registration IDs though.

The lady at Ecotone I've been liaising with has been on holiday since Friday and isn't back until tomorrow so won't know exactly what's going on until I hear back from her. Annoying because we're 15 days away and I want this sorted.

You may also be wondering why I'm not putting down someone else's name as my guest instead of my wife's so someone who's ticketless can go. That's because I'm not sending my wife up to York all by herself and making her travel by herself from York and arrive late on the Thursday, whilst I'm at the festival without her, and with someone else when I'd rather I was with her! I don't think I should decline the prize either as this gives us the chance to spend all of Wednesday and Thursday there too, and those are good days as we all know. Also, better camping spot.

Admittedly, I have been a bit worried about telling people (especially people on an internet forum, some of whom will have been unlucky and missed out) about this, I've barely told anyone I know because they already know I'm going. But from the small amount of people I have told, they have said that these competition tickets are better than what I already have and it's also not my fault I won the competition, so crack on.

You don’t owe anybody an explanation for whatever you decide. Congratulations on both the resale and the competition. My mate is the only one in our group who didn’t get a ticket and he’s sitting here with me. Thinks you should take the comp tickets.

Surely there could be a bit of common sense by the festival here and sell (or give) your original festival tickets to someone else and then leave two spots on the coach empty?

Appreciate that! We'll see what happens anyway as there could always be another plot twist, but as someone asked about that comp last week I thought I should let you folks know

I actually found out about the Clipper comp through here as well
