  1. Think I missed that comment. Don't think it would change my plans too much, would make my worst clash Manchester Orchestra vs Movements. Interesting to hear James admit he had to beg Don Broco to do the festival as well as he was struggling with bookings, all but confirms that The Chats were most likely bumped up due to struggling to find suitable headliners. Do wonder who the holy grail booking who gave him some hope were. Alexisonfire or Deftones are my reckoning given he mentioned about the logistics of flying them in.
  2. Blanket at Trees (announced on the podcast). Very happy with that as their new album is excellent.
  3. Would prefer to see them somewhere smaller like Outbreak or Trees but Download would be able to chuck more money at them.
  4. 2 Promoters, 1 Pod. It's an excellent podcast for any festival-goer. Would highly recommend.
  5. Takedown Festival is another who aren't operating this year. Blaming it on a mixture of the venue being refurbished and poor ticket sales.
  6. I'd be hoping more in the ball park of Aaron West, Cory Wells, Movements, Spanish Love Songs or Trophy Eyes personally.
  7. Also ruled out of R&L with their Australia tour. The Trees dream is still alive.
  8. Was gutted last year when they had no sad bands playing. Looks like they're still not living up to the name this year. Had high hopes for this festival but just doesn't do it for me.
  9. Not included in the first announcement.
  10. For any fans of James' podcast (2 Promoters, 1 Pod), they'll be doing a live version on stage at Trees one afternoon. Also likely to do one one morning at ATG.
  11. Trophy Eyes said tonight they're currently in talks to do a UK festival this year. As they're in the US during Slam Dunk, Trees must be the most likely? R&L being the only other one I can think of but without any other EU dates announced so far, I can't see them going out of their way to book them.
  12. Not sure if they'll go for them. In the podcast, James said they were offered Mallory Knox in the same episode he was criticising bands for disappearing then reuniting a few years later and expecting more money.
