Yep definately best kept to one

i bet bowie got his own thread! who is the authority on who deserves a thread? is there a designated grim reaper mod? "cohen gets one but terry hall can do one!" 😅 are there some danger musicians that land right in between getting their own post and landing in this thread? the server would crash!!

All the more reason to keep everything in one thread 😃

is it really in memoriam then or has it turned into a game of name the dead person? i mean if someone mentions richard tandy in this thread couldnt they have made a new thread for him? and if they decide his life is not worth a new thread why are they mentioning him at all?

I did mention Richard Tandy on this thread, as I see the thread as the tool to use for the purpose of informing others who may want to know. That said, I'd have no objections to individual threads being inputted. I guess it's down to the individual. There's no law stopping someone from doing so.

Glastonbury headliner or Legend deserve their own thread. That’ll do!

legend meaning legends slot? some.might consider beans on toast a glastonbury legend (or some would consider mik artistic a glasto legend....ha!)

I didn't know that Richard Tandy had died & I'm a big fan of ELO, so I appreciate the post. Some musicians don't get the publicity that other, more well known, personalities do.

Likewise, I was laid up with the flu a few weeks ago, so I didn't hear about Steve Harley dying. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't read this thread.

If you find this thread too depressing, just don't open it.

I dunno, back in the day buying cookies or brownies from folks stopping by the tent, or shots from folks with a tequila bottle, or a festival t shirt, but also loads of folks wander the more crafty stalls on a Sunday - either buying stuff to wear or do they still have those little candle boats?   In the pre-Internet sales days I think lots just liked getting things a bit more interesting than their own local shops.

doesn't get as interesting or as diverse and  exotic as my local shops (stapleton road). no mushrooms available, but 1 5 types of yam, if you need a big  choice. 😛

Yeah… amongst other stuff that he’’s written or been quoted as saying, although it’s gotta be noted that the guy was a massive edgelord who very often said stuff for pure shock value, especially when he was younger, so I dunno.. it’s pretty grim reading, but I think he just enjoyed saying gross stuff to get a reaction a lot of the time, but can understand how that might be enough for people to turn off him completely.

THe other stuff was gross but i think can be forgiven with remorse, but looking/promoting child porn is completely unforgiveable.

Don’t think that sh*t can be dismissed as Albini being ‘an edgelord’

Yeah, I’d read that stuff a while back and had forgotten just how far he’d gone in to defending and describing it all in graphic detail. Unfortunately some very talented people are also ginormous pieces of sh*t, same as it ever was.
