Don’t know if it’s been mentioned here before, the current Google Maps satellite view is just after the festival took place. I thought Bath & West was just CV camping, but there must be lots of crew camping there? Anyway, it’s fun to explore.

That’s going to cause much debate when archaeologists in 2000 years time examine the earthworks , strange features, the finds and the chemical composition of the ground. The prof Alice Roberts of  the day will have a great time.  A massive circular enclosure containing walkways joining up places of ceremonials centred round a pyramid. 😊😉

New Bar for 2024.

Enjoy my favourite drink? Look, if theyve got pints of Omnipollo Noa pecan mudcake imperial stout, i'll be very content with that 😄 something tells me it'll be the same fairly standard and mildly acceptable pints though

I'm not certain, but was The Woods bar there last year?

I know it was there in the past, but my (admittedly unreliable in this instance) memory suggests that it went away.

So wonder if The Brewery will replace either The Cornish Arms (or whatever that first place along there was called) or that bar that replaced the Rock the Kasbah further along. (which was a terrible shame).

Still miss this, loved it.

Last years festival I enjoyed it's replacement though. Playing some amazing music on the Thursday night!

On this topic… last year I have a very hazy memory of ending up in a bar on the Thursday night. I think it was near the other stage/levels. It was a horseshoe shaped bar with dance floors either side.

Any ideas where I was? It was definitely a great time.  That much I know.

I really hope the Cornish isn't disappearing.....Sunday morning Bloody Mary in the Cornish is a Glastonbury tradition for us!

This sounds new too:

"Having a wander to the Theatre & Circus fields? Then roll up, roll up to the multi-coloured delights of the new Glebe Bar. Grab a drink & relax in the dedicated beer garden"

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
