Who did we have Friday on West Holts / Park / Woodsies?

Need some alternate programming to 1975 / Loyle as far as predictions go.

Yeah

It’s currently looking like an early visit to Arcadia/Silver Hayes/SE corner on Friday

It has been known to happen, reportedly. @Suprefan likes to point out My Chemical Romance were booted from Coachella in favour of Frank Ocean.

Kanye backed out 24 hours before and we got Ariana Grande. They turned down Shakira last year lol. Travis Scott killed 10 people and we got Billie Eilish. Rage backed out and we got Harry Styles..... list goes on and on. Do I think the Eavii are that crazy to drop like this? Nope. But somehow it would be presented as a sign of desperation even though the fest is sold out

Hmmm, perhaps. I disagree that she shouldn't have played - if the chat was true that she was already booked to play as an Other stage headliner, then she should have definitely played.

And I think the slot didn't help on the day too. She'd have been better suited to the Friday, with everybody in the house. Both her and The National suffered from the Sunday night hangover of early departures and the aftermath of a dramatic England win.

Probably right. She definitely shouldn't have been Sunday. There is a history of tit's up bookings though.

Headliners are obv the 1975 and o rod, been clear for months. Anyone expecting Rihanna will be let down

Anyone wanting Rihanna will be after hearing her live too. She did alright guesting with Eminem at V Fest but it was like 1 or 2 songs.

Rihanna coming back from a decade long hiatus to headline a festival that pays £0.63 headline fees, with no other festival dates this year or indication of a headline tour, just doesn't make any sense whatsoever. C'mon.

let them play into the delusion because they dont realize that having the 1975 play means they can be elsewhere.

With everything going on today I have tried for probably the 5th time to give the 1975 a real chance. Dark room l, headphones on……. 5 tracks I never want to hear again…..Gave up.

I can’t say I have not tried…… it’s not for me.

If you don't mind me asking, what were the five tracks?

So... yeah, maybe try find something you actually might like more instead.

A weird one. Five number one albums, no top-ten singles, streaming numbers that are a little wavy and far less certifications than, say, Arctic Monkeys.

But also undeniably a strong live draw and with probably close to a dozen songs that have mostly crossed over too over the years. Put it this way, there have been acts who have headlined with less appeal under their belt in the past twenty years.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
