You are all underestimating ORod!

I'm not. I'm considering Prodigy and the first UK reunion gig of the Maccabees. Then St Vincent will pill a decent crowd at Woodsies too. 1975 don't have that competition and you have to remember that the Glasto audience is not your typical O-Rod crowd. I was going to see her unless there was special stuff elsewhere. I have two other special things. Most of the crowd will be pondering their options...

You might not be a gonner then. I've got my Friday night headliner sorted...albeit not the most flattering but I don't need another option now haha.

Can't be missing The Prodigy dude, grab a cheap APE ticket for Maccabees later.

This had crossed my mind, but I honestly assumed The 1975's status as marmite would likely give them a knockback.

Think Rod will comfortably have the biggest crowd of the weekend. Don't think any of the headliners will have huge crowds, even despite a dearth of appeal on the Friday night. Think there will be a healthy spread across the site.

Surprised that people think Alanis Morissette will get a huge crowd, didn't think she was particularly popular.

It will, at least for my money.  Given Alanis Morissette they likely won't even get the biggest crowd on the stage that day.

Alanis a bigger crowd than 1975 you reckon? Dunno about that

I really comes down to who out there that has tickets likes the others options.

For me I wouldn’t consider The Maccabees as sunday night headline withour or withose O-Rod and The Prodigy.

I don't think Alanis will have the crowd as big as people think.

I used to do this a bit and I've learnt to try to just stick the full sets. If I see only part of one it just makes me feel like I want them to tour again quickly to see it all.

Yeah, I only move on if I'm not feeling a set.

Oh I reckon she'll draw a decent crowd, just not sure it'll be enormo-levels.

Maybe not enormo levels. Just bigger than The 1975.

Rod with the biggest crowd for me.

Alanis next.

Rod, then a toss up between O-Rod, Raye or Alanis. Then either The 1975 or Noah Kahan.  Then Chic / Biffy / Neil.

Or a bit o'both?

These days I rather do own or the other or I feel like I've not taken advantage of grabbing one of a festival and I suddenly need to see both again outside.

It's each to their own but I don't know anyone who chooses Macaabees over those two Sunday options....worst headliner clash I've come across for a long time, possibly in my attending time completely. The Prodigy Friday made most sense. Maccabees for me also starts and ends at Pelican, it did when I was around when they were younger.

Could go either way...it's still lads with guitars though, so will be a lazy fall back for the undecided

Like the man says they're marmite.  Alanis will offer a big communal experience that they won't.  And it's not super unusual for these mainstream sort of acts to attract big crowds - Texas, Crowded House etc.  Even Cyndi Lauper last year

Yeah, could be really big. I'll go if nowt else on

Fair play, though you would have the option of the whole of the Maccabees and a Prodicherry on top, which is what half of our group are doing. Other half is split between all Prodigy or all O-Rod...

From last year the Park finished at 10:30 on the Sunday - and the Other stage started at 9:45 and finished at 23:15

so there is a decent chance to catch a sizeabe chunk of the Prodigy after the Maccabees which is what il hope to do.

Brutal to have to Miss O-Rod and potentially St Vincent for that aswell.

    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
    • Been last time in 2018 when the festival was happening in parque Bela vista. ls the new location good for such a big festival? What's the temperature in the evening near Tejo? Should we bring a raincoat or a jacket?
