Stop guilt tripping me, how am I meant to know that?

Also you’ve spent more time moaning at me than it would have taken you to just read the thread 😀

Bore off child.

Can't square Swift in my head unless Rodrigo has bounced or Wonder is duff info.

To be honest I can't square it under just about any circumstances.

I mean, between 4 new albums and another 4 re-records, and an extensive 2 year world tour playing 3+ hour shows every night, plus films, tv, music videos etc, I'd say she's probably done more work in the last 5 years than I have (or intend to) in my entire life.

I'd desperately love it to happen, but can't comprehend that someone who's just done all that would choose any option other than "sit on the sofa and relax" for 2025..

Only thing would be if she intends to settle down and start a family with Travis, and wants to tick off everything she can before disappearing for an extended period to do that. But she’s such a workaholic she probably wouldn’t be able to stay quiet for long anyway.

I may enjoy being able to get to the front of any other stage I fancy! If she does play it’s quite likely to be the biggest festival crowd ever, particularly hard on whoever is on the Other Stage. With all the possible downsides on balance it would be a major, lasting boost for the festival.

This is my Nick Cave nightmare scenario.

Counterprogramming by having someone from another genre to appeal to those who aren't into Taylor. QOTSA and Elton was a bad move because they are still ultimately both rock music. I would think QOTSA and Taylor would go down better than that went honestly, less crossover appeal.

Yep QOTSA did well against Beyonce and that's a tough match up. They're stoic, for sure. Hey guys? Fancy a tough f**king gig? Yeah you do.

What im thinking is, because she was meant to play in 2020 which was then cancelled obviously maybe she got friendly with the Eavis family and promised to play the festival the next time she was available. Glastonbury seems like the sort of place she would love and want to be a part of.

Or maybe not.. 🤔

She also had a British partner and was living here, I believe?

Living here is arguably a stretch, but certainly had (might still, not sure) a London pad and so spent more time there then an average American.

She also came to the NME Awards in 2020 to give Emily Eavis the Godlike Genius Award. That strikes me as the actions of someone that doesn't just see Glastonbury as "another festival"?

It was the action of someone lined up to play Glasto that same year, amongst other festivals.

I’ll come join you at the front for him! He’ll be so grateful we can draw up his setlist for him!

Though we don't know whether she went to the awards specifically because of Glastonbury or not - entirely possible that she was going to the awards regardless as part of the promotion for Lover, and seemed like an easy choice to present the award to Emily given that she was lined up to play the festival later that year.

Is anyone actually buying this Taylor Swift info?

Is the account definitely real for one.

Also the ex ceo of Ticketmaster tweeting about it seems a bit suspicious....? Surely he'd keep his mouth shut on this kind of thing - and why does he care about glasto anyway? I assume he's american

    • They are going to have Blink 182 for sure, early June upto around Werchter weekend I'd say for them. Two of Sweden Rock,  Greenfield and RFP are going to miss out.
    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
