I was so disappointed with Primal in 2022 on JP. I'd last seen them on Other in 2011 (which was absolutely PHENOMENAL!) but this performance was really, really weak.

2022 was a game of 2 halves. 1st half was dull, 2nd half was fabulous.

Friendly reminder for anyone just tuning in and seeing incredibly self-assured takes: absolutely nothing is locked in at this point.

Fender, 1975, and O-Rod remain completely guesses with no substantive info behind any of them. Nobody I’m aware of predicted Rod Stewart, and yet some are harping on about the main three with absurd levels of unjustified confidence.

All is still to play for.

Rod was predicted by quite a few people, it was only the duff Neil Young info that called it into question for a few days.

There’s good info on The 1975 and bits of stuff floating around for the other two as well (less so Fender than Liv but still some whispers). Might end up being wrong but there’s definitely more to it than just guesswork. And without anyone else seemingly being in the frame, we may as well go with it.

Can someone give me a reminder of the info we have on the 1975?

Other stuff elsewhere on the internet as well if you know where to look, not sure how much of it has been posted on here though and don’t want to break the rules.

^^This.

At least they've stopped banging on about The Post like it's some treasured manuscript.

For what it's worth regarding the Fender / 1975 / Olivia trio, I reckon 1 out of 3 is correct.

Okay well he's well and truly in the picture now. Only rumous I'd say is more probable to be there from what I've seen at this point is Olivia

Lovely!  Back to my original prediction.. Fred / Olivia / Stevie 🙂

I'm personally not sold on Fred, but that's not based on any info - Just my gut.

Olivia and Stevie I'd guess are the safest bets right now with both definitely in the country within a week or so of the festival.

What else do you suggest we discuss on the thread about the as-yet confirmed headliners then?

I'm aware that for a lot of people, the Wonder news will be - well, wonderful.

But must admit I'm a little melancholy on it. Do understand that if you can get an artist of his calibre, you clearly do. But quite liked the way it looked that the festival might blood an all-new trio of younger options.

    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
