It will be a normal crowd - definitely not busier than Dua Lipa for instance, let alone an actually packed act

It'll be rammed I reckon.

Are we just crossing wires in the thread? I don't remember any news about OR doing BST, though seem to recall something about NK.

As for Fender, he's headliner or nothing now at this juncture. Maybe that changes if the new record doesn't make moves, but unless he shoots himself in the foot - not entirely unfeasible - he's a bill-topper in my book.

Yes he is, simply that Glastonbury have chosen Olivia and Fred this time round, the latter I imagine to still grab him on this phase like Coachella most likely. I don't think his star will continue and continue myself.

even if she is doing BST, what difference does that make to glasto? it isn't an either/ or thing. She loves glasto and has made that very clear. She has moved her manchester dates to late June and it would be mad if it wasn't for glasto

I’m not suggesting she is or isn’t playing either. I’m pointing out some potential speculation from somebody who might have info.

I think it'll be Billie Eillish busy. Without seeing what's on other stages, i don't see it being rammed.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is 'The Post'?

If real, a fascinating insight in to the minds of the group of people who book the main 2 stages that consistently make a camel out of a horse, transcribed by someone with the literary skills of an 8 year old who doesn't know spell/ grammar check.

If fake, it makes 50% of what's been discussed on here redundant.

"Sam Fender not on the booking teams radar" is particularly moronic.

Not a comment on the legitimacy of the post -  But shitting on things because of spellings is it self an act of naivety itself sorry

were it an official document submission for a law firm in a major case I think you would have every right to criticise - but at the end of the day its a social media post

Speaking as someone with a learning difficulty who struggles immensely with some spelling and grammar issues (I mistyped grammar three times in doing this - Spellchecker was smart enough to highlight the mistake but not good enough to tell me how to type it - I had to ask a human!!!!). 2.6% of adults have something similar.

I wish people would stop being stupid (ironically used) enough to think everyone should spell everything correctly on social media and use this to judge legitimacy.

Its common sense with the 2.6% of learning dificulty people in addition to English perhaps not being some peoples first language - posts are gonna have errors......  does not mean that person is Stupid

Glastonbury Festival is not put together by some Eaton College Grammar Nazi's it was started by a farmer.  Did you know the guy who curates West Holts started working as a festival as a car park attendent - (though i have no actual clue how good at spelling they are)

If you do not think thee is spelling mistakes on official Glastonbury documents - I think perhaps thats maybe a bit Naive.

Sorry to reply like this but posts like this really trigger me

What I find fascinating about 'The Post' is that even though it's easily one of the most noted and discussed posts on here in recent years, it's received only 1 'reaction' in the month since it was published.

She got a large crowd on the Other stage and she's only grown in status since then. She'd have no problem packing the field.

It will be busy enough but as i said no busier than Dua Lipa.

Why would it be any busier than Dua Lipa, a UK artist with way more hits / more well known here as she's been around longer / generally bigger.

Does depend on clashes I guess, Dua Lipa had a pretty easy ride given IDLES were the other headliner

    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
