We could potentially know in a few hours since thats when they dropped it last year but who knows. this stunt is so stupid idk what to believe as to it being true or not.

They will announce tonight at 20:25.  What a joke....

Where did you see that?

The banner on Facebook with 2024 dates is still online. I can't imagine a huge festival being so stupid and make an announcement like this but still confirm the edition the day after...

Madness. It reminds me a few years ago, a metalcore band (Upon A Burning Body I think) spread fake informations about their singer's missing... it was just to make the buzz for people speaking about the band before they announce a new album. Some PR really need to think twice.

something just crossed my mind.

what if they f**ked up their english and wanna say something like "see u AT 20:25" and ended up saying "See u in 2025"

That's one of the most ridiculous suggestions I've ever heard.

They have more than one person signing off a major post like that and they manage to convey lots of complicated English sentiments each year.

The Spanish don't say 'in' for time and you'll be surprised to hear that the Spanish for 20:25 is 20:25.

They're just quoting the same newspaper as the source, and they just quote "people close to the organization of the festival".

There are probably plenty of people close, who don't get updated on something like this. If it was potentially not going ahead due to legal issues with Getafe council, for example, then surely most people wouldn't be told - they'd be expected to get on with organising as normal, and only a small number would have any idea of how precarious it was.

I assume lots of people will already have contracts with them for 2024, and be working on the festival. If so, it's a sh*tty way to find out, but it could also be on legal advice not to say anything. Last night's message could literally have been the main organiser, annoyed, deciding it's not going to happen, and telling the social media team to put out the message.

It could even be a tactic to knock heads together at Madrid council etc., if someone is slowing things down, and decisions need to be made.

No, it's not a mistake. It's fully on purpose. Whether it is actually the worst publicity stunt ever or an horrific communication of cancellation, we will see at/in 20:25

It's surely on purpose.....they would be well aware of the social media fallout, reddit threads etc at this stage. So a definitive clarification would be forthcoming. They are just acting the maggot now.

See you in 2025.

If you say today “see you on Wednesday”, it logically means you wont see that person on Tuesday.

Not to mention they did delete 2024 dates from the bio.

They went full retard even by their standards, which were extremely retarded already.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
    • I was fully prepared (waterproof jacket, extra pair of socks, foldable umbrella), but after four hours in the rain (from Geese through Oklou to Florence Road), it was just too much. Already at the hotel, let's hope tomorrow's better.
    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
