The South Americans are great! They love their indie rock and roll! Interpol played to 160,000 people in Mexico last week in Zocalo square. Contrast that Pulp video with Blur at Coachella......

Love them myself. They were superb at Cala Mijas last year. Great festival band.

I understand the sentiment, but thats a bit harsh on Foals. They have plenty of stuff that caters to the neck bearded hipsters that frequent Primmy.

Not looking good really.....they only have about 15 weeks to announce it, plan it, sell the tickets, build it etc.

I did say "for want of a better adjective". Dont get me wrong, im a Pulp fan, I'll be there watching....but bar disco 2000 and Common People I dont envisage it hitting the same heights as Blur with Song 2 , Girls and Boys etc for example. I dont see them winning over the neutrals. Last year there was Kendrick, Fred Again, Blur , Skrillex, Depeche Mode and Rosalia to hype the local contingent. Even Calvin Harris for his sins. I dont see an equivalent quantity of upbeat "communal atmosphere", "sing along" music at the top end. I hope to be proven wrong and im very interested to see how it goes. Maybe I have finally reached the age where I am firmly out of touch with the zeitgeist.

I think the top line lacks "bangers" in general. Lana, SZA, PJ Harvey...even Pulp to an extent can be quite mellow or moody for want of a better adjective. Most of the "fun" will be carried by vampire weekend, disclosure, justice and the rest will have to be found lower down the card.

Would there be any appetite among the efester's to meet at Primavera? Set up a Telegram or WhatsApp group and meet for a beer in Barcelona or at Parc Del Forum itself? Would be a great group photo !

Seen the Blur, girls and boys clip. What a car crash. Albarn telling the crowd "you're never f**king seeing us again so you may as well sing along now". A field full of vacuous wasters watching a concert through their phone screens. Its all about flexing that you were there rather than actually enjoying being there. I know every generation has disdain towards the youths coming up from behind, but f**k me this lot are a narcissistic bunch of twats, particularly in the USA.

Who is playing this year, that will potentially be a breakout star and headline/ be closer to the top of the lineup in future years? Im trying to find the hidden gems who are about to go on to better things, but they seem thin on the ground this year. Thinking of a Fred Again type from recent memory. Educate me folks.

What are you regular attendees favourite things or customs to do in Barca doing Primavera week? Bars, restaurants, brunch etc? Im staying in El Born this time. Hotel was chunky money. 1550 quid. I normally get a few cocktails in each morning with breakfast to knock the cobwebs off.
