Watching the Gabriels, and it made me wonder, what were the best cover versions that you heard this year at the festival? I'll start;

Private Dancer -  Gabriels

Here comes the Sun = Cat Stevens (a real Glastonbury moment for me)

Like a Prayer - Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Rick Astley gets every step on the podium for me.

Gutted I missed the Risk Astley / Blossoms set, just completely forgot, as I had them down for Friday. Just seen the set this evening, looked a lot of fun. I excluded them from my list as I wasn't there, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

I thought there would be someone who said this, didn't think it would be the first response

Like a Prayer properly blew me away. Was a bit “meh” when she started as I love that song so much but she absolutely did that justice.

As mentioned - Here Comes the Sun was truly special

Genuinely can’t decide between Highway to Hell for the pure “wow” factor and Pinball Wizard which was the perfect choice to start (apparently he hasn’t played it live since 2009 either!)

Here comes the Sun was marvellous indeed..

My biggest disappointment was the lack of cover from Hot Chip.. I felt sure they would nail an absolutely belter version of an Elton tune.

true, particularly with how good that Dancing in the Dark/LCD Soundsystem mashup was in 2015, probably my favourite ever live performance that.
