  1. I was at that gig. The only time I was able to see Shane MacGowan Funny memory. Very hot year (2006). Pete Doherty was in the worst period of his drug problems, but Shane arrived on stage even more wasted "Viva España ! No pasaran !" 😁 I've got a recording of it if you're interested 🙂
  2. I haven't sorted all my pictures yet, but I like these two : Violet and Dave Grohl : Sophie Ellis-Bextor :
  3. I agree : I had a lot of fun on Thursday. The Katy J Pearson gig at the Crows Nest was lovely !
  4. Thank you very much. Based on your advice, I went to see them at the Bread & Roses and they were awesome. Such and energy from the band ! The floor was bouncing like hell and the PA system about to fall during the entire gig !
  5. Amazing gig and great moment ! I thought the floor of the Bread & Roses would break eventually 😄
  6. - Elton John - Pinball Wizard - Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Like a Prayer - Oh my God, It's the Church - Gay Bar
  7. I was there too ! It was incredible. First time I've heard Love & Hate, and it was magical, this song seemed to never end ! Hopfully, there will some nice gigs there this year !
  8. This. I usually find that the BBC videos don't render the volume of the crowd singing as loud as it actually was. I'm watching it back as well. The power of his voice on Maybe I'm Amazed is simply incredible ! He pushed it very far, and never fails. With 2 hours of show remaining after that...
  9. He's quite familiar with the "It is the first we're playing this song..." trick. He usually adds a mention "In Europe / in France / in 2022 / during a full Moon / with an outside temperature of 17.6 °C ...." 😀
  10. I'm joining the club as well. I've had no voice since Saturday evening (mainly due to the Don't Look Back in Anger / Hey Jude massive singalongs). I've added to that some cough, light fever and dizziness. I thought it was the classic post-Glasto symptoms, but they haven't disappear
  11. That was truly amazing, emotional and powerful. You could feel the love coming from the crowd. One of the highlights of the festival for me !! Way more powerful than their 2019 set at the Park (which was already awesome) I've found these videos (not mine) on youtube :
  12. 1) Paul McCartney. After a slow start, the show really started for me when he played Love Me Do (there were pyros in the crowd, on a 60 year old hit, amazing). And the second half of the show in bulldozer/leave no prisoner mode was incredible 2) Kae Tempest on the Truth Stage, where she kept improvising and freestyling during an hour. That was amazing, emotional and powerful. You could feel the love coming from the crowd 3) Tied : Jack White at his best on the Park Stage, and Sam Fender, for the joy of being in a crowd going crazy after two years of nothing
  13. Being able to come to Glastonbury is becoming a real way of the cross for the international contingent : - Getting the booking page after thousands of F5 - Paying the deposit with a credit card (with one out of two not working) - Waiting - Having the tickets rolled over to 2021 - Waiting - Having the tickets rolled over to 2022 - Paying the balance with even more stringent credit card restriction (nine out of ten not working) - Learning that the tickets won't be sent by mail - Making travel plans with the covid restrictions - Having you flights cancelled by the airline - Making new travel plans at the last moment - Receiving a e-mail telling you "Oh by the way, please arrive before 8 pm" - .... But we'll make it through, friends, and will have the time of our lives !!! 🤩
  14. Interesting. I've mentioned 2017 because I remember having paid at least one balance (in 2014, my first edition, and possibly 2016) with my French debit card
  15. Thank you very much guys for all your help on that issue ! As Netspy said, in our case, the problem seems to be how Seetickets decides which is a valid credit card, and which is not, based on mysterious criteria. As numerous credit card were rejected, it seems there is a serious flaw there. Independent from that, one funny thing is that at a further step, when validating the payment, we sometimes had the Strong Customer Authentication, and sometimes not, with the same credit card Did the problems encountered by UK people appeared when Seetickets checked the card validity ? or when asking the authorization from the bank ?
  16. Sure, this requirement is already quite a hassle. It has been on since 2017 if I remember well. Thanks for this information. This year we had several VISA credit cards being rejected, and a few VISA credit cards being accepted, with no explanation provided
  17. Dear all, My apologizes for creating a new topic, but my friends and I (all from France) have experienced a serious issue with the payment of the balance this year, especially concerning the credit card which is required for it. We've managed to get through it, but I thought it would be worthy to share it with the community, to better understand what happened - The credit card requirement is not new and we've always been able to sort it out with a card specifically labelled "credit" - But this year, it turns out that the requirements are way harsher than the previous years, with many card labelled "credit" being rejected, despite having worked for the 2019 payments - So only roughly one out ten cards tested worked. We were not able to identify a specific pattern between the accepted and rejected card (we've pretty much tried everything : Visa, AmEX, from different banks, from different countries including UK...) Has anyone outside the UK (or inside) experienced similar difficulties ? I would be glad to know about it, so we can hopefully understand what happened and find a solution. This kind of issue could be a disaster for the 2023 ticket day... Thank you very much in advance ! 🙂
  18. See Tickets mentions a departure time of 11:45 pm for the return coaches. 8 pm seems like quite early then. 11:00 am is mentioned as the opening of the doors on the same website
