I’ll be hoping to get there about 3-ish. Say hi if you spot us, it’ll be me, my wife and toddler in a backpack carrier.

 

Depending how busy it is, we may stay around for food in Glastonbury, if not, will head back to Weston Supermare, where we’re staying the night.

Looks like the worst we’ve gotta worry about is potentially colder nights than we’d usually expect at the festival, but nothing that an extra layer + non stop drink, drugs and dancing won’t sort out.

Dry, highs of 18-19.

 

Temperatures into Saturday of 10.

 

 

Identical again, latest on the right.

 

 

SATURDAY

 

Chance of some very light rain around headliner time, bit more in the Midlands. Highs of 19-20.

 

Temperatures into Sunday of 13-14.

 

 

Pressure marginally not as strong. Latest on the right.

Completely dry, highs of 17-18 - a three degree downgrade on the 18Z.

 

Temperatures into Monday of 13-14.

SUMMARY

 

Another great run, though there is still some uncertainty about the exact facts of Sunday - it could yet be that, as on the 18Z, a little more heat builds in.

Wow, it literally couldn’t get any better than that for me (aside from tomorrow temps). This has been the smoothest weather thread year ever - barring a little two day wobble last week.

The Glasgow weather is the worst. It could at least match Glastonbury - as I'm not going it feels very much like they're rubbing salt into the wound!!

Quick scan of UKV hi res for worst case possible rain prospects:

 

Wednesday: few scattered showers

Thursday: maybe a brief period of light rain on Thursday morning if it doesn't fizzle out before it reaches the site

Friday: few scattered showers

Saturday: heavy rain to the north, might reach us eventually on Saturday night. Again looks brief but could be heavier.

Sunday: UKV run only goes to 120hr

 

Nothing overly concerning - I'll just chuck the cagoule/poncho in the bottom of the bag. Looks like nearly perfect conditions to me on the whole.

It did run live, just doesn't show on netweather for some reason... It is available on wetterzentrale, much of the same though.... 

This morning's GFS is a little concerning, as the UKMO shows increasing chances of rain Saturday and Sunday too, so they're both somewhat in agreement... But we all knew that, until we were there, predicting the Friday, Saturday and Sunday is next to impossible. Still time for a few couple more ups and downs on the actual weekend itself... 🤞

This will be my 9th UK camping festival since 2012 (4th Glasto). Have only worn trainers to all of them I.e never had a bad weather festival. Thank you weather gods.
