Folamour

Given those in the know have been raving about the DJ/Dance line up this year I’ve been giving some a spin on Spotify.

Really liking Folamour.  Anyone seen him/them live and would you recommend? Would also appreciate recommendations of who else on the line up is in a similar groove.

100% recommend. Plays a mix of old school and nu-disco. Lots of fun. The Glitterbox takeover will follow a similar pattern, with the odd house classic thrown in for good measure, with big production, flamboyant dancers, etc. Good times. Literally.

Caught the end of his set at Printworks last month, and he did Abba's "Gimme Gimme Gimme" and a remix of Stevie Nicks' "edge of seventeen" - cheesy but as you can imagine the crowd (despite pretending to be massive techno/house lovers) LOVED it.

Also noticed he's also doing a A/V show called "Power to the People" between 3 and 4:30am in Nowhere on the Friday after his set in Levels.

He's done the show before so you can find out more info here but it'll probably be less housey/bouncey I'd imagine and more low key - https://ra.co/events/1443375

They changed it from the original release, might not be that anymore.

As always with djs like this don't just Spotify, watch sets on YouTube if you can.

This is the one that made him, specifically for the bit 25 mins in.

He is good live, have seen about 3 or 4 times now. Very good sets. If it is the live AV show I'll go if I can, otherwise might be elsewhere.

To paraphrase Mike Tyson….

Everyone’s got a plan until they drop Abba!

Think that's me sold.  That's so far up my street it's parked on my driveway.  The Levels set might be a struggle due to clashes, but the set in Nowhere is on the list definitely.  Will try and hit the Gltterbox takeover too.  Thanks All.

You have just made me notice that I have a Folamour Yung Singh clash: Thanks 😞

That early evening Friday slot is a complete b*stard.  I've potentially 5 things I'd like to see and they're well spread out.  Glasto Fridays always do this to me.

I know exactly what you mean about that Friday afternoon / evening I was going to "solve it" by staying in The Levels almost all day certainly between Jayda G and Camelphat, but then I decided to not see any DJs during the day and save my electronic fix until the night time, now this happens lol

This seems to have changed now to just "Folamour", so I am not sure if it will be the AV set after all 🤷‍♂️

Pardon me for being a thicky, but what's the difference between a standard set and an A/V one?

‘Power To The PPL’ will be Folamour’s most daring project yet as he sets out to bring audiences to a new dimension through a fully immersive and interactive audiovisual experience.

This was supposed to be on the Gas Tower last year but he didn't show. Maybe the new stage can't accomodate it?
