Is this the official eFests state of the ground thread or the unofficial members of efests state of the ground thread.

Awaiting clarification, cheers.

We only accept official, authorised rain. The unofficial variety is banned.

We are fast approaching the time when everyone on here suddenly become experts in meteorology, soil science and agricultural drainage systems. 😊😉
anyway, last week the ground looked decent, we camped close to Pilton and the ground was pretty dry, tent pegs went in easily. The forecast looks good which is important for the build and all the movement of heavy vehicles.

ooh, that is alarmingly sexy to read 😄 there's something deeply pleasurable about being able to bung a tent peg in easily, in the knowledge it wont be a nightmare forcing it into arid ground or instantly pulled by a gust of wind cos the soil is saturated . . .

the ground will be fine this year, its only very very bad when its rained non-stop since xmas, this year hasn't had much rain.

I'm willing to stand corrected but I could swear we've had a terrible first 5 months weather so far this year.

They just slid in with a few gentle taps of a rubber mallet. Withdrawal was so smooth and easy leaving a thin film of moist mud on the full length.
