My theory is to avoid bottle necks so people move into the 'bays'.

 

Only place I really saw random pissing against a fence this year was people pissing against the wood stake fence at the back of west holts field this year. 

 

Personally speaking when in the bars I always forget it's not a proper pub and it's a Weatherspoons style yomp to the toilet - sometimes it's touch and go especially if you lose your bearing and go the wrong way!

and the ones you are headed to get shut off for crowd reasons . I directed someone past the nearest ones at Arcadia to the bottom ones near railway as id forgotten they existed

Biggest pissing on the land places that I saw this year were on blank urinal walls and in Shangri-La, as people didn’t know there were urinals at the back of the long drops.

Quite a lot of the urinals were less well supplied with troughs this year.  Went into a few that had way less guttering than I would have expected.

The cups and cans on the urinals is a real pain in the ass.  At least they phased out those urinals with the gap at the bottom a few years ago.  Getting piss deflection from the person opposite was awful.

 

I was up in Lime Kiln and it was pretty clean when we left.  Even the 24hr party people were getting their shite together and I had them down as definites for leaving it all behind.

And always worth remembering - Someone has to retrieve the litter. Someone at the recycling centre then has to sort it. Both of those people are likely volunteers. Yes they'll have gloves etc, but it's still making an already unpleasant job even more so.

 

Basically, anyone who dumps their litter in a urinal (or a long drop for that matter) is an absolute dickhead.

The last time I went to Reading (08) they had this, one stillage for tents, another for airbeds and a third for misc equipment, several such collection points at various points around the camping areas.  I always take everything home, but I do think this would be a solid option if a local organisation were able to make some money with such collection points.

Second day litter picking today. Can’t believe what people leave behind and how they can square it in their head.

 

Anyway, if everyone wants more tickets for sale, take all your stuff home and they won’t give us lot a free ride as they won’t need us. You’d still need pickers, but you could half or even further reduce the number of people needed if attendees didn’t litter during and after the festival. Not sure how many we are in total, but I believe it’s 2.5k across the festival and clean up period, and that might not include our caterers, etc.

 

We are fine, it’s satisfying work, and during (and before) the festival we had access to the crew bars with their low Q loos and slightly cheaper beer, etc., we stayed in a nice campsite above the Pyramid field with showers and good food and a cheap bar, so we will keep picking up after those that can’t be bothered!!

Most ridiculous thing I witnessed this year was the complete moron who asked me if I’d move so he could piss against the wall at Genosys (IIRC). Got a sharp “f**k off” or word’s to that effect

Obviously that video is awful but what was the general consensus on abandoned tents this year? Either officially or from those clearing up.

Not seen the normal like clockwork stories in the press this time round.

I wish there was any feasible way of penalising those who left tents -    Some perfect solution where failure to take them took your ball out of the hat for the next ticket release. Though this would be so hard to impliment its impossible.  

 

 

On a plus side i was one of the latest leavers from the Oxfield on the monday about 7:30PM ish and it was mega clean.  Though i guess thats even more expected from volunteers.

Mixed bag when we left.  Quite surprised to see one gang who'd had an absolute tip all weekend on the tidy up when we left, but also a group of absolute weapons who'd left everything.
