I’m not championing what I’ve been told over what anyone else has put on here and as I’ve said before I think it won’t be a headline set from the Foo’s because of the same reasons everyone else.

FWIW even though it was only 2 festivals ago I’d take Foo’s over GnR a million times over.

I don't think it's likely because of the small gap but

1) REM headlined twice with just a two festival gap.

2) we've had a fallow year, two cancelled festivals and the Foo's played two years later than they were meant to. If they'd played in 2015 as was intended we wouldn't be questioning it right now.

That’s a SR though.

I know things are a bit different with this site these days but in the 17 years I’ve been using it TBC has meant it’s a lock and we’re just waiting for G to confirm.

Well in the, ahem, 17 years (how the fuck did that happen) that I've been using the site, TBC has meant very highly likely to happen, very much expecting it to be confirmed and waiting for G to do just that but it's still always been changeable.  SR has never really meant much, that I've noticed.  So many bands with SR that I've seen disappear when the lineup drops that I put very little store in SR any more (though still appreciate seeing them getting added during the build up).

TBC ideally is as you describe.  Slightly unfortunate this year that there's been so much shit-housing directed at GnR this year, so if there is any backtracking it's going to stick out a lot more.  They (GnR, along with several others) probably should have been set to SR a long time ago, and then could have been left there until they got to the right amount of certainty for a TBC.

Would you feel the same if people were touting Ed Sheeran again?

All this GNR chat is moot anyway when it's highly likely Axl will fall out with the band, the festival or the entire population of earth between now and June. We should be preparing ourselves for a pyramid sub to get bumped up.

That and Elton's hip injury acting up.

Probably why Lizzo is so short in the betting!

I think they are the right amount of certainty for TBC there’s just some curveballs being thrown around.

Elton’s hip is a replacement, he’ll be bouncing around like a young un. Dancing on the piano and jiving to croc rock

Both feet off the floor as he floats behind the piano or we riot.

    • Really well done, Primavera. Maybe the biggest name on the lineup as a surprise. (Ecpecially if Robert joins this)
    • There's one way it can get bigger- if Robert Smith joins her on stage
