I'd be quick and discard the whole announcement as a PR nightmare, but damn those undercards are wild.

Foals, Jamie XX, M83, Moderat, Sven Vath, Viagra Boys, Dixon, The Comet is Coming, 070 Shake,  Frank Carter, Kelly Lee Owens and Partiboi69 are all Primavera Sound level of names and would buy me a ticket instantly

IF

I wasn't still coughing sand and having nightmare for the soundsystem in the A38 that completely butchered any band that was not a solo girl singing on electro pre-recorded beat

Yeah, I did go see every headliner last year,  but this year so far only Florence. I've seen Billie two times at Glasto, both left me disappointed. Undercard is really strong for my taste so luckily there seems to be plenty of alternatives.

And can't believe they changed a day for her BUT still fucked up her name in the announcement? lol.

yeah! fuck me its gonna be fucking decent actually. never really cared for headliners anyways.. my only wish was for them not to burn all the budget.

Blur would cost double or triple Tame Impala and would have his same reach this last year. Demographic shift is wild

Sure, but I just want to complain about the direction this festival takes, at least in terms of headliners 🙃

It's not a matter of headliners to me (last year was great TBH), it's just that they're getting more and more " young" acts :

I'm always expecting some 'older stuff' (for example, Jimmy eat world, Keane, Marina, Biffy Clyro, The Script, Papa Roach, Katy Perry, Weezer, or even The Proclaimers, Madness, etc...), and it seems they don't care anymore about that, like the young acts are cheaper so 'let's do it and Fuck the 30 years old and more' 😕 I mean, come on, Mimi Webb, Niall Horan, Yungblud, and I'm sure many of the names I never heard of on this line up are for the 'under 30 y.o' .. Which wasn't the case if you go back in 2014 for example, or even before that , we had much more CONFIRMED acts compared to today.. and also less "DJ's" lol ..

Still possible for them to be one of the remaining headliners then?

The question is why they weren’t announced today? They might play all 3 nordic festivals (Oya, WOW and Flow) and it won’t be possible for them to come to Sziget.

I guess they'll have to justify future ticket price increases somehow.

I really hope we'll got at least 1 more great big act like Blur or RHCP.

    • TOP 10 acts (top 5 in bold😞   Blood Orange (ciutat)   Guitarricadelafuente   Oklou - Looks like I'm capable of enjoying music in the rain after all, just not the whole night.   Rilo Kiley   The Cure   Jade   Depresión Sonora   Gelli Haha (Parc del Forum) - Her music never really clicked with me. Until I saw her live.   MARINA   Six Sex (ciutat) - I was shocked how supersmall the venue was and that almost everyone (except for me) knew every word of every song (including the ones that were released this weekend!).   Honorable mention:   Ashnikko - missed the first 15 minutes (because of Gelli Haha) and I'm not really a fan of her music, but the show was an absolute blast.
    • Totally agree about PinkPantheress stage choice. 'Luckily' for me, one of my main targets, fakemink, was absolutely awful, meaning that I left early and was in a surprisingly good spot at Cupra before it got totally packed.
    • As many said before, not my favourite Primavera. sh*tty weather is something I'm not really used to when enjoying music. Poor communication (more than 1 hour long radio silence during the worst rain) didn't help, but the main problem was me. I decided to leave the venue after things seemed to be getting back to normal. Massive Attack were supposed to play again (with Hymn of the Big Wheel back on the setlist!) as were all other artists on the smaller stages (including Fcukers with one my favourite albums of the year). FOMO was at an all-time high. However, after 4 hours in the rain, I had to admit to myself that I'm not cut out for this. I wasn't even that soaked (water-proof jacket worked). I was just fed up with the rain, wind and cold and wasn't able to enjoy music anymore.   Also, they should stop ignoring the growth of some artists between signing them up and their actual performance. Both PinkPantheress and Ninajirachi sets were ruined for me by completely inadequate stage choice.   However, I felt very much the same way after the 2022 edition and have thoroughly enjoyed all subsequent editions. So I'm still buying early bird tickets for 2027 and hoping this was a hiccup not the start of a downward trend.
    • I will definitely be buying a 2027 early bird pass, partially because of the priority reservation privileges for the Ciutat sets. Hopefully the organization will take action to improve upon this year's failings. Because I thought the free water options and sound quality were an improvement over last year, so clearly they can actually implement positive changes.   I also hope all the douchebag chompers get in the sea, cause I was more bothered by them than in the past few years.   Highlights: The Cure, Ninajirachi, Knocked Loose, Current 93, Blood Orange.
