Kind of see this being quite realistic, Friday is great for me. West Holts all day except a nip to Pyramid to catch Paak.

Given the dearth of it this year, I think there will be more UK Hiphop/Grime/Drill in 2023 in addition to Loyle Carner, Slowthai and Aitch. Think at least one Central Cee, ArrDee or Jay1 will be there.

Lol just realised you have Central Cee my bad ignore me.

Central Cee is there, as is Knucks.

My first glasto, don’t roast my fun prediction poster too hard!

Hey mate don’t think you’ll get toasted think this is actually a really good stab!

It’s obvs a little optimistic (GNR in Legends) and think there’s probably too many acts of the the Pyramid sub/Other Headliner size (Florence, The Prodigy, 1975, QOTSA, Pulp, Paramore, Lizzo, Lil Nas X) but I think it’s probs fairly close to what we’ll get in poster 1 based on what acts are about, save it’s missing a number of acts that are likely to be on West Holts (Loyle Carner).

And there’s a near zero chance of the XX being on the poster (although they might all be on the farm!).

Thanks for your reply! Tbh I agree, it was definitely wishful thinking hoping GNR get the legend slot! There is also way too many stacked sub/other headliners!
can’t wait to see what the actual line up!
out of interest, why no xx on the poster?! 😄

Re XX: Think they're all focused on their own ventures currently, no hint of a new album or anything.

I know Oliver Sim released his solo debut earlier this year so can't imagine The XX performs as a trio before he tours that.

Pretty much bang on this - agree with pyramid sub/other headliner

Throw Biffy, LCD & Royal Blood into that group too, plus alt-J headlined Other last time they played although personally I'd be surprised if they were booked at that level this year. Kasabian are difficult to place too nowadays having previously headlined but obviously a lot has happened since then. Also think Florence would be headline or nothing.

Would be an incredibly strong lineup if it happened though!

Be very happy with that.

Noname said she would no longer perform for white audiences so I would be very surprised if she's billed for Glastonbury.

The things I’d do to see The xx on the farm!! Agreed there’s no chance for next year though, last album they released is coming up to 6 years ago now and they’re all currently working on their own solo stuff

It's only been 3 festivals since they last played and the solo stuff means they won't be back for a couple more years as The xx.  They were great in 2017 though.

One of my biggest surprises in 17. Really enjoyed them, when I thought they were going to be a little bit too down tempo. Thought they aced it

Suede > Black Keys > Pulp would be a nice little Friday run but that Friday headline selection is pretty bleak.

Wet Leg v Lewis Capaldi would be an interesting battle of the ginormo crowds.

Lil Nas X should feature in these now he’s at Mad Cool.

I saw his headline show a few weeks ago and it's a big production with costume changes and dancers, so it'll all come down to if he wants to do it/wants the TV coverage because the fee he'll be getting won't even scratch the surface.

It'd be very good in the Katy Perry late afternoon slot.

He’s doing festivals around Glastonbury and he’s already performed before. It’s a no brainer. No point wasting time being sceptical.

He came out as a special guest. He’s never been booked before.

I agree he’s likely at this point but it’s certainly not a no brainer.

Unreal but swap Sam Smith and Prodigy so I can see Prodigy instead of GNR.

also Pa Salieu won’t be attending… https://amp.theguardian.com/music/2022/dec/02/british-rapper-pa-salieu-sentenced-to-33-months-in-jail

I think there would be an uproar if Sam Smith was against GnR. Your going to need Lizzo against GnR to appease the GNR haters. So have QOTSA sub GNR, Prodigy on Sunday and Sam Smith against Artic Monkeys

Fantastic shout on Stromae. Probably would have a reasonably big slot - headlined the dance tent way back when in 2014 and is now selling out Wembley Arena on his first record in nearly a decade

People have to live with insane clashes, I had possibly my worst ever this year, Bicep vs Kendrick vs PSB.

Went to PSB, still not sure I made the right decision.
