Why the ridiculous insinuation? If Rosalia isn't headlining the Other Stage (or any other major stage) it isn't because of her language, it's because she isn't known very well here. I don't think she's had any hits in the UK.

Because Supre fails to understand that in other countries they don’t all follow the same booking policies as America.

Rosalia would prob be third down other tho.

I seem to recall saying Halsey could headline Other stage and was shot down. Yet here we are. Also, Rosalia isnt allowed cause she doesnt sing in english. Thats a no go for the good ol boys.

It’s really funny watching you thrash around for reasons why acts that aren’t big in the U.K. don’t get booked in big slots. When the reason is because they aren’t big in the U.K.

I rate the fact I've read "Rosalia can't headline a stage because she doesn't sing in English" and "Sigur Ros should headline the Park" in the same thread

Think they're both silly to be honest. Rosalia can't headline a stage because she hasn't had any chart success in the UK, and has limited track record of UK festival performances, except 4th down JP in 2019 (noting she has blown up massively since then).

Sigur Ros could headline Park because they 3 UK top 10 albums (albeit in 2008, 2011 and 2013) and headlined JP in 2016, however personally I'd say that's really unlikely, as they are no where near as big now as they were then.

Neither of those things are directly related to the language they sing in.

Think Sigur Ros could change if they just release a damn album. It's been 9 years since their last! I agree their size has dropped , I'd say because they've not released anything major in a long time. Their tour this year had it in the marketing they were working on a new album though and there's been a couple of new ones in the setlists.

Think it’s too soon for Jopkins to be back headlining west holts and think there’s no way Spice Girls sub pyramid.

few things-

1. Caribou subbed west holts this year, unlikely to be back so soon and the slot is clearly off on your prediction - feel like all of that sunday park is questionable actually 🙂

2. Feel like if sam ryder was doing glasto (they don't really book eurovision acts i thought?) he'd have done it this year surely

Also chemical brothers had to pull out this year due to covid, so definitely can see them playing somewhere. And speaking of dance acts, Leftfield have a new album out very soon and would love to see them there.

Just saw them at Riot Fest and they were incredible, there’s no way they are opening the pyramid stage, I’d say Other Headliners or 2nd down pyramid

    • this time I or my group will have to as im not part of a spreadsheet this year .... whilst we had f5 I was consistently the ticket buyer apart from covid year .... this time im nervous so if anyone fancies helping / getting some practice in in bus sale feel free to chuck me a pm
    • Any festival is going to face most of the same limitations just by the nature of the event. It's not realistic to accommodate custom staging that extends out deep into the field. Trying to do so and trying to rebuild those kind of structures at the front of the field every day would severely impact on other performers, potentially even including other headliners. It'd also drive everyone involved insane. The most you can get away with is a basic extension that doesn't hide anything fancy. Remember that a lot of the time on these big choreographed shows, the stage extension itself will contain all manner of things to help the show beyond just being a simple platform. Also remember that these structures are designed to be assembled and operate on perfectly flat stadium or arena floors.   In terms of the stage itself - yes, the Pyramid is undersized (I believe 16 metres wide at rigging level). The de facto industry standard has become 20 metres and so it likely does need increasing and apparently there are plans to do so. But that only helps with artists that can largely confine themselves to the stage.   The Other Stage is already 20 metres - to be exact the Other Stage structure is the same model that Serious Stages provide to Reading, Leeds, Download etc for use as their Main Stage and there's nothing larger (at least off the shelf) in their catalogue. So no reason to change that.
    • Can someone remind me, on Harry Styles specifically - have we had any concrete info on him?   I don't personally remember saying much/anything on him, though I have just been away for a month, so could be forgetting something.
