Headliners if they reformed?

I'm sorry if there's already a thread for this but I was reading a article about The Kinks earlier and couldn't help thinking they'd be instant headliners if they got their act together and one of the few artists of their generation who could do it.

This is the list I came up with

  • The Kinks
  • Led Zeppelin
  • Oasis
  • R.E.M
  • ABBA (if they actually do tours)
  • The Police
  • The Stone Roses

Obviously there's lots more defunct bands that could easily headline Glasto.

Stone Roses is probably almost as unlikely as The Smiths by this point

I mean if any of the bands on that list reform and headline Glastonbury I'd wire you a hundred quid.

It's just sometimes nice to daydream

There were rumours of The Kinks playing Glasto a few years ago, but it’s looking unlikely now. I don’t think they’d headline if they did play tbh. Out of the list in the original thread, I’d say Oasis is the only likely one.

They seem to be in this really weird cycle of claiming their making new music and then claiming they can't work with each other.   I get why they might not headline because their such an old band, but I think with their back catalogue they'd easily do a headline slot justice.
