Listing shaded areas people may not have considered may help.

rules are you can’t have tents etc (I.e acoustic tent doesn’t count)

I’ll start:

Permaculture

glade done (under trees area)

The spike bar

The Wood area

many more?

I don't think it's the lack of shade as suchtl that's the issue... it's more that all of those areas you've listed don't have the 'main stage' acts that Fuzzy wants to see...

Yorkshire here too and there are kids in my son's school who wear shorts all year round - hard as nails!

To be honest I'd wear shorts year round.  When I go hiking it's almost always shorts even in snow.  My legs almost never feel cold.

Luckily this year, I have no "Must See Acts" Barring The Hu, Viagra Boys & Elton.

Sadly, I might have to swerve The Hu if it's 27 degrees in the Shade. But I should be able to see Reg.

For the sake of an hour could you really not brave it, even in the shade by the sound desk?  If not, have you actually had this medically checked out?

I'll be honest, I'm 100% NFRNFC but in 2010 even I had a moment of delirium on Saturday afternoon.

I got mild sunstroke on the Friday.  Spent hours in the Pyramid/Other fields and stupidly had left my hat at the tent.  Entirely my own fault.  Still take that over a muddy one though.

Take a pop up toilet tent and use it whenever you're watching a band 👍

Its not just a matter of braving it. It's actually enjoying it.  I dragged myself to the proclaimers in 2019, but it was a massive struggle. It was a real war of attrition. That's not how it should be.

I have a UV umberella. But that gets in the way at a stage & is unfair on others.

🤣🤣🤣 Poor Dunlop....I can't take the heat so I'll probably be seeing a bit less although I think I was being a bit ambitious with my lineup plan anyway but bloody hell I really feel sorry for him

Fair point.  Maybe the UV brolly in front of the sound desk so you aren't really blocking anyone's view?

    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
    • All I'm asking for is Rancid
    • MGK would probably end my interest in this festival completely.
    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
