Actually noticed that last night.

Was just offered a place from the wait list for Avalon bars. Applied and approved in minutes. Let's go!

Didn't find the drive too bad actually, but Holyhead suited us better as what I'd save on Fishguard-Glasto was negated by the drive from home to Rosslare and vice versa. Also, we left home on the Monday night and had a stop in London on the Tuesday to collect supplies and get a night's sleep at a relative's place. Drove to site the Wednesday morning and landed at around 1.30-2pm after a nice leisurely drive down. Ended up in one of the furthest pink carparks and, although there were no queues getting in, the campsites had filled up quick. Luckily, we only had the one tent, but if there is a few of you, you may be a bit further out than you want to be if you want to be together.

I drove from the north west via Dublin-Holyhead and back last year. Made sense what with all the camping gear and beer we took. Looked at flying, but with the hassle and cost getting connections to/from the site and the aforementioned gear and supplies, driving made more sense for us.

Same. Admittedly it was my first time so nothing to compare it to, but the best thing about it for me was just sitting and chatting to random people all weekend.

Just finished my (hopefully) last Teams meeting at work, re-packed and am nearly ready to head for the ferry this evening. Getting real now.

Spoke to a woman about speaking to a man about a dog. Had to be done tonight because the guys that run her local kennels are religious and don't work on Sundays.
