  1. Do you think they mean you can't get a sneaky sim and top up £10 now? You'd need to have already done it before the competition started?
  2. Hiya, do you mean you get an email each time someone nominates you?
  3. Oh dear - maybe my Brooklyn hasn't counted then. I didn't get one of those slips like a receipt saying entry to the competition like I did with the Worthy cheese ones.
  4. Oh no - I used a blue membership card to buy some. What colour do you need?
  5. I bet everyone who went is thanking their lucky stars it isn't this weekend - or rather we didn't have this glorious summer weather during Glastonbury weekend.
  6. There were a few moments particularly on Saturday where the blazing sun and heat got to me and I thought that I couldn't do another one. But those moments were very much counteracted with lots of moments of sheer joy and happiness especially during sets. I'll be there on ticket day for sure.
  7. Stone Roses - the headline slot that never was. I wonder if they reformed now whether they would be viewed as Pyramid or Other Stage headliners. They're Pyramid all the way in my eyes but that's my opinion.

    2024 Headliners

As much as it pains me to think it I think you're right. It would be amazing but I just couldn't see Madonna at Glastonbury at all. I would love it (if I got tickets) but just can't see it.
  9. We left Elton after a few songs as we were so far back and walked up the top path and down past Acoustic with the plan of getting to WH for Rudimental and a little stop at the bar for a cider on the way. The photo shows how quiet the T&C field was during EJ - eerily quiet!
  10. The weather on Saturday really affected my plans. Think I only saw the Manics as a full set on Sat. Looking back I was a bit disappointed at the time but you can only do what you can do.
  11. I haven't watched any of the BBC footage yet so sure I'll have some further regrets when I do. Currently regret FBS instead of Loyle Carner. I was in 2 minds and should have gone with my gut. Despite all the gushing reviews I don't regret dancing along to Rudimental rather than EJ.
  12. We wondered exactly the same thing. The whoosh on an evening added to that night time feeling I think. I missed them.
  13. The path this year was the same as last year. In 2019 it was a different path with steps - which felt slightly less treacherous.
  14. I loved the build up on this thread and I also love a good debrief. It was the weather that got me this year. It seemed such a shame for it to be so hot on Sat and miss stuff. Yday and Friday I was loving those clouds and breeze.

They were amazing. Definitely one of those moments with the sun going down too.
  16. Once you turn off the A road where the signs say it seems to be separate roads to main parking so pretty quiet. I come from the M5 through Glastonbury town and then WV parking is signposted on the right.
  17. I was at the back of the Pyramid by the lane (on the piece of grass just above the lane where crew camping are based) with my son last year for Paul McCartney and it wasn't too busy or crazy at all. I wouldn't have been there if it was.
  18. Just thought - last year pretty sure surname was on the tent so if we don't find out beforehand and you can see which bits your kind of tent is (scout tents are in the middle column) then you could find the right one but could be a ballache wandering around with bags etc.
  19. Looks like we'll all be going to reception to check our zones. The map last year has the rows replicated in each zone so starting from row 1 etc for each zone so think we'll defo need our zones. Hopefully they resend via email or long queues at reception tomorrow.
  20. There's a WV facebook group and everyone is the same. Tent number and row but no zone info. Not sure if the numbers and rows are replicated in zones or whether we can figure it out when we get there but that could be chaos. Theres a reception on WV where you can check this kind of thing but imagine it'll be busy tomorrow if everyone needs their zone finding manually.
  21. Met Office are still saying rain showers (now with heavy rain at one point) on Weds afternoon which is annoying me.
  22. I feel like we're back on the knife edge. It was bound to happen. Its like that quote from Parenthood about rollercoasters vs merry-go-rounds. We were never gonna have the merry-go-round.
  23. I wanted to build up my stamina for all the trekking so started Couch to 5K as I surprised myself by actually liking the mental health benefits that running gives. Today I did week 6 run 1. I did the killer week 5 run 3 (first 20 mins run) in the gym earlier this week - the bloody air-con has broken - jeez did I sweat!! Pretty proud of myself to be honest. Jo Whiley is my couching voice.
  24. Yorkshire here too and there are kids in my son's school who wear shorts all year round - hard as nails!
  25. Are we still on a knife edge or are we swaying off the edge now?
