Foo Fighters / Led Zeppelin type band

Was just listening to our custom made playlist on Spotify, before Robert Plant and Alison Krause came on.

To my shock the wife didn’t know who he was and this led me to play her some led zeppelin songs.

Looking at the lineup no one jumps out at me that is a similar kind of band to the ones in the topic or haven’t I just discovered them yet?

If you mean hard rock then no, Aerosmith where going to scratch that itch. Maybe they will announce someone else, I was hoping for Judas Priest but their tour dates mean they are unlikely

If you mean classic rock then the closest you have would be Paul McCartney and Noel Gallagher. I still think Jack White is likely. People on here seem convinced there is a missing sub for the Pyramid. It makes sense to me he did not want to be announced until his London dates sell out.

BTEC Zeppelin, Greta Van Fleet are in the UK over Glastonbury weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if they rocked up on the Sunday

Genuine question how big are GVF here? I see them get big billings in the US and EU but they never pop up in the UK / I have no indication of what following they have here.

Not too sure. Looks like they've sold out the Ally Pally and two nights at Apollo Manchester in June. I guess they're reasonably popular, maybe not as they are elsewhere though. Could definitely see a decent Other or John Peel placing for the Sunday

They seem to be one of these bands who don’t play UK festivals - maybe because they tend to headline/ play just below headline at international festivals. Can’t see what festivals they’d do here other than download or Glastonbury. I can’t see them doing APE or anything like that.

GVF on either Friday or Sunday would be good.

Jack White fills that spot nicely, would be surprised if he's not on the poster.

No Aerosmith or QOTSA makes it a bit light on for guitar rock, otherwise.

NIN would be awesome , and they are in the area, just depends how much "exclusive" means these days?

Not that I think there’s any chance of them playing, but was their show at Eden listed as an exclusive? Or are you talking about the Hellfest exclusive?

As a Zeppelin obsessed Foo Fighters fan at the tender age of 17 when I attended that gig.. genuinely had never experienced a greater thrill. Didn't come down from that high for weeks. And Ramble On, which followed this, was my absolute favourite Zeppelin tune at that time (it's still up there).

It's been a long time since I (heh) watched that and it is DEEPLY UPSETTING to realise that this was almost 14 years ago 😨

That's my question really. I thought their  Hellfest gig was supposed to be exclusive, but then what is Eden? Is it a UK exclusive?

I believe Hellfest is a European festival exclusive, hence them "getting away" with the Eden Project as just regular gigs
