This is good news, not too fussed on seeing Noel again but I doubt he'd bother subbing for just any act given he's generally only done headline shows since the second High Flying Birds album, so I think this makes Paul McCartney being back a bit more likely.

Yep definitely. I was pretty confident in Macca retuning anyway, but this is as good an indicator as any that it’s on. Dad rock Saturday let’s gooo!

What I cut off at the end is "it" as in he's looking forward to playing it but he possibly meant looking forward to playing Live Forever rather than looking forward to playing Glastonbury. 

Still... it sounds very likely if not 100%. I reckon he's been asked.

Even though I’d probably dip in and out of that I really hope it’s true because that really is an incredible evening on pretty much any stage in any country. It will be absolutely packed and something for the ages. A real marriage between heritage US and UK rock.

Not sure where the certainty is coming from. There were plenty of “hopefully”s and “if they ask”. I’m sure they will because he was due in 2020 but that interview is a bit weak to make a TBC, imo.

That's how I read it. Makes him more likely than before, but talk of it being a TBC and therefore proof of Macca deffo appearing is premature

He’s said he’s keen, it’s an easy booking for the festival now.

I wouldn’t put him down as a TBC but I’ll be amazed if it doesn’t happen now. He was booked last time and has said he wants to do next year. As easy as it get from GFLs POV.
