Cults have a habit of breaking up into different factions! Don’t think sturgeon will be bothered too much by Salmond. It will however create a distraction away from the real issues that are affecting the country and focus on the single issue of independence. she might be glad of that. There are signs that labour might be regaining a slender foothold back in their traditional areas in the central belt. Early days, they have to regain the voters they lost a few decades ago.

Good decisions yes, but Funded by the barnet formula and underwritten by the Bank of England, the lender of last resort. We need specific details of currency, taxation etc to make a reasoned decision on separation.  That’s when we can all make up our minds without flag waving and rhetoric. But its going to be yet again pretty divisive after the last one.

It took the late intervention of Gordon Brown and others to expose the failings in that white paper to influence the result. Basing an economy on an oil price of 100 dollars a barrel, no decisions on currency, borrowing, pensions etc was madness and reckless. Interesting that the Scottish greens must be the only Green Party in the world that props up a government who would base an economy on a fossil fuel. A wee sniff of power and their principles go out of the window.

(Yes this is relevant) Not that I'm complaining on the sport side but there's such a clear thought process there from the Tories. "We've been sent in to deal with planning and development in a city that hates us, how can we make them hate us less? Oh yes, those neanderthal poor northerners love football, let's approve the stadium and they'll like us and forget about everything we've done to them over the years".

It won't work, and the city will fight to the end to stop the place becoming one of their "freeports"

The same Scot Rail that the government already nationalised last time a private company made a hash of it but after getting it back in order they put back out to tender so we had this Abellio fiasco.

Nationalising the railways is a good thing but it's clearing up a mess of the SNP's own creation so I don't think they deserve too much credit.
