I was just thinking this. Thought their stock had risen quite significantly since last time.

Was not expecting this news this morning!

My guess is they were a band in the mix for 2021 pre-pandemic, so they are a roll over.

Neil thinks that Elton is replacing Macca and Swift is not back.

Which means three new headliners for 2022… and… one that isn’t in the mix yet.

Aw that'd be hugely disappointing for me personally. Macca was the only one of the three I was truly excited for so will be gutted if he's not there.

I know I'll enjoy Elton, much it's not the same.

Intrigued as to who headliner three could be...

I’m going Arctic Monkeys, I think they’ll tour from Glasto 2022 onwards and finish at their big Sheffield outdoor dates.

me too I’d be very sad to see Swift go and Macca would have been a perfect booking. Sad to lose Kendrick too!

But I’m really happy Billie is in the fold for this year. I’m sure Elton would make many happy, I’m just as intrigued to think about 3.

It could be Dua I guess…

Yeah AM would be my bet too. Particularly if the rumours of new music next year are true - plus would give a nice mix of headliners

I reckon Dua is out now, potentially a guest spot with Elton though

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.
    • Just listed on Twickets
    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
    • I have a spare campervan pass to get rid of.  unable to use Kaboodle as it is only entry that they re-sell
