The 3 leads make it. Especially Martin & Short. Selena Gomez is great too though.

Anyway, is Yellowstone worth investing anytime watching Yellowstone is one of my favourite TV series, although I know very few people who've ever watched it in this country. Enjoyed the first two episodes of Physical 100 on Netflix. Think Gladiators crossed with Squid Games. My wife wasn't impressed when she found out they were releasing it slowly. I couldn't disagree with you more. Right from the credits which are like a homage to 70s and 80s shows it's like a 21st century Columbo, but with more action and a great twist. Keeping a keen eye out for the clues as the story plays out and then watching her piece it all together, quite often with beautiful cinematography and a cracking roll call of guests each episode. I boshed the first 4 episodes in two nights, after which there was a fabulous teaser trailer for the other 6 which I'm now desperate to see. https://amp.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/2023/jan/29/extraordinary-review-everyone-else-burns-grayson-perry-full-english-lockwood-and-co I read the above review Sunday morning, then that night watched all 8 episodes of Extraordinary on Disney+. Seeing that they rated it and that it had Siobhán McSweeney was enough to lure me in, then after the first three minute pre credit sequence I was laughing so much - just watch that interview sequence if you have it and you'll know if it's for you. It's laugh out loud funny, great cast, has a lot of heart plus some cracking tunes on the soundtrack. gigpusher
I watched Everything, Everywhere All At Once over the weekend. Don't ask me to explain the plot as it's a bit bonkers but really enjoyable and great performances. On Amazon Prime if anyone is trying to watch any of the Oscar nominated stuff before the big event.

Well you have to note that my first impression was episode 1 only 🙂 I actually liked episode 2 much better. My main issue is with the script, I didn't find the "twists" really twisty, in that first episode, because they were pressing too much on Charlie's special ability. But I still think the show wouldn't last without Lyonne.

I've been watching Acapulco season 2. Totally hadn't seen there was a second season. Not as good as Poker face, but sun, happy people, lightness is something we can all use during the winter. No you aren't, I'm pleased we've cleared that up 😉 You led me to Marleau, which went down very well here - first three seasons lapped up. You even mentioned Columbo. So your lukewarm reaction to Poker Face surprises me, given that's the comparison all the rave reviews make. I dunno are you one of those folks who only half watches as they're on the phone or tablet? Or maybe didn't get into the Knives Out films? I hope you grow to like it - I'm only bleating as I was genuinely disappointed that the only mentions of it here were not as enthused as myself. I think my best sword would be as effective as my rapier wit - I'd be proper fecked 😂 I enjoyed both of them and I think the second one at least as much. With this I loved it from the first episode - aside from what I've already mentioned then once you know her thing as events unfold (him being ejected from the casino etc) you see details and store them away for later. The first time shift seeing Charlie at work and knowing that as you see her perspective she's going to piece the elements together.. the phone call.. the office door answered...then each time she does a little Columbo like reveal to Adrien Brody. FloorFiller
Latest episode of The Last of Us was top notch, just brilliant television, and seems to have pissed off all the people you’d expect which is always a nice bonus. Give Nick Offerman all the awards.

WestCountryGirl
I'll preface this by saying that I cry at movies and TV a lot.. doesn't take much.. but I have never openly weeped at any media the way I did the latest episode of The Last of Us. So beautiful. No matter what happens with the rest of the series (though it has all been top notch so far) I know I will revisit this episode in the future. Like it's own self-contained movie. Guest
The Last of Us was already an incredible TV show but it’s latest episode (episode 3) was perfect. Probably one of the best episodes of TV you’ll ever see. The self contained story is beautiful and made me openly cry even 10 minutes or so after it finished it made me cry again. It was one of those episodes of TV where I ended up sitting not really knowing what to do after it ended. grumpyhack
Putin v The West. A superbly researched and put together three-part documentary which sets the context for what's happening in Ukraine. Part 1 tonight on the BBC. On that basis of that it's well worth watching the next two parts.

John the Moth
Last of Us episode 3 is an astonishing piece of television. I award it 7 stars out of 5.
Freddyflintstonree
Last of us ep 3 absolutely stunning. Might actually be the best tv I've ever seen.
kalifire
I was going to save up all the Last of Us’s and watch them together but the praise the latest is getting means spoilers are everywhere. I might as well jump in now. Before I do, I have one more episode of the Aussie Traitors to watch. I’m a little bit over this show now having watched three versions back to back, but I’d say the Aus one might be the best. The US version was pretty much a straight copy of the UK’s (even the same venue) but Australia mixes it up a bit and doesn’t include reality TV show ‘stars’. It plays out differently and there are even some quite touching moments. It’s a fantastic format, and very welcome. I’m watching The Apprentice as well, week by week, and Traitors deftly exposes it for the stale, predictable and boring show it has become. We watched the UK version and just finishing up the US version. May do the Aus version next. Part of me loves it, part of me just struggles with the fact they don't have enough information to go on. I'm probably not enjoying it as much as the average season of Survivor. If you like The Traitors though and don't mind subtitled stuff, I can't recommend enough seeking out "The Genius Game" - a Korean show that takes the social strategy idea and really runs with it.

It stopped any significant twists from happening and it came down to personalities. The Aus version has strategy much more central to the play. I actually just finished the finale and it was more entertaining than the UK and US ones combined. Thanks for the tip!
