I live about 100 yards from a school (actually the same one I went to 40 years ago). I can hear the cries and screams of joy on A level day from my flat and it's filled my heart with joy!

Oh to be young again! Actually scrap that, I wouldn't want to be 18 in these times!

Good news: My kid did very well in her GCSEs. Not so good news: She came home last night all drunk and emotional and I think may have made a bit of a dick of herself.

Oh Lordy! Thanks for the advice Ayrshire, but you should have told me that yesterday evening. You see, I thought I was supposed to put the foot down on the bits and bobs front. I may as well get that out of the way now I've started, rather than start all over again. Highly logical, I'm sure you'll agree! 🙂
