This is interesting. Southside has just confirmed that Twenty One Pilots will be there. They weren't in the first line up release for 2021.

I am sharing this because it's a similar case for Taylor and Kendrick with some festivals.

Promising to see an act confirmed who previously seemed like they wouldn't be around.

Just goes to show info is still heavily subject to change, and all we really know at this point is festivals are looking to rebook the same bands where possible. I believe Ken previously had info that Twenty One Pilots were not in the frame next year, so this is a u-turn for sure.

Wolf Alice about next summer too. Still find it odd they weren’t on the poster this year.

I thought that, still haven’t figured out why, especially given they were confirmed by ME, so it’s not like they were saving them as a surprise of anything like that

Guess they just don’t want to play Glastonbury without a new album.

Were they free to play Sunday?

Lofty Pyramid sub?

It was suggested, but christ that would be disappointing, especially as an act that’s been especially held back, so I don’t see it. Obviously can’t say what the new album will bring but I’d be surprised to see them climbing up lineups much further - I think whatever hype they had behind them has kind of died off.

It's too early to say hype has died off imo. They've been between albums for a while and only playing the odd show here and there so there's no big drive behind their name at the moment.

As a British band returning with a new album after a Mercury win, I could see them getting bumped up to big supporting slots but no way in my mind would they have been that high this summer. Subbing in 2021 doesn't seem barmy to me, however.

I wasn’t sure which thread to post this in but I’m pretty sure this thread will start to get popular after next week has passed!...
Yo! Not sure if this is allowed so if it’s not please let me know and I’ll delete. I’ve been posting on these forums for years so I know what a friendly/supportive bunch you are! During lockdown I’ve tried to do something productive and I’ve developed a website that specialises in festival clothes, accessories and more. The website is dropping in the next 4-8 weeks and I plan to constantly add new products to the site, obviously there’s no festivals this summer so I’m trying to build a bit of a following ready for next summer! If any of you could find the time to give the Instagram a follow I’d be extremely grateful. Thanks and enjoy your weekend ❤️

Does anyone think we will get a 2021 announcement at some point over the next few days? Similar to what other festivals have done.

I'm leaning towards an announcement, though probably because that's what I want. There's no real indication either way at this point.

I think at most we'll get the Diana Ross announcement. Not expecting anything more yet. Certainly seems unlikely we have all our headliners signed up yet as they're either waiting for Taylor, Kendrick and Macca to confirm, or they're trying to get replacements.

I think we may get something like "unfortunately our 2020 headliners will not be returning and we're working on booking new acts" or "we're looking to rebook the 2020 lineup but we'll confirm the detail later in the year", but aside from Ross I don't expect any proper confirmations.

I actually think they will wait until the end of the year. who really knows if this festival can happen next year? it is way bigger and more international than any other festival in uk or europe. I wish we will be in the field again next June, but I don't really know yet.

She's live on Lauren Laverne tomorrow

At the most it will probably be “a few acts have rolled over but obviously not all of them” kinda thing.

I know it is special circumstances but it does feel way too early for glasto to actually make an announcement.

    • Zero chance of Primavera. Zero. Wrong festival.
    • If Reform do win in Makerfield then I think they're nailed on to win the next election, and labour will implode. Simple as that.
    • Bit close...if enough of those Restore votes go to Reform...
