Almost 2.5 million already, in less than two days, unprecedented on parliament.uk

i reckon it would be much higher if it had had the opportunity. It kept going offline yesterday.

But the 'weird' thing is that on Wednesday night the numbers were going up far far quicker per-minute than they were going up yesterday at the times it was working. It looks suspiciously like some deliberate interference.

Worth giving this chap a follow on twitter. Explains how a lot of the technical issues (and, unfortunately, signatories) are the work for alt-right trolls operating from the likes of 4chan and 8chan;

Check out @mikegalsworthy’s Tweet:

Nah 90% or that number is very real. "Don't believe the hype"

i'm not particularly disputing the number, I'm disputing the speed at which it's now getting those numbers - it's being deliberately slowed down.

It can take signatures far faster than it is now, without crashing - as it was on Wednesday night.

on wednesday night it was taking signatures much faster, and was able to deliver emails immediately.

Why is it running at less than half the speed than it was?

Two E's at A level at a fee paying  Grammar School then dropped out of a Degree in Trade Union Studies at London Metropolitan University (rated last in the UK)

Does not fill me with confidence.

Totally agree. When I was signing it on Wednesday, it was around 500 signatures per 10 seconds or so. Now it doesn’t seem to refresh that often.

Really, 4chan are the reason for inflated figures? I thought that site was inhabited by trolls living in their mums basement with fuck all else to do than fuck about on the site in some glorified hackery?

Agree it does seem slower as was definitely getting approx 2000 sigs a minute, as I was timing it. 6pm last night it was a crazy speeds but died from about 6.30 until this changed the setting so not updating the numbers as frequently

I think they have changed that to help ease the changes happening on the site at the same time, so not to overload the server requests - IMO (I don't know for sure of course)

    • NIN and Bjork for sure 😉
    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
