Highly recommend you try it. Wonder if this is an Irish thing as I always froze them as well. I'm not mad keen on them at room temperature but love them frozen. My thinking is that maybe they are best at extremes. Extremely hot and extremely cold.

It is although an entirely different thing to a frozen mars bar. Both have their place in this world though.
The Nal
Would love Smokestak back this year. Or someone similar. They did a great brisket. Good article from 2016 here with some tasty pics! https://burnessie.com/2016/06/10/essential-eats-glastonbury-2016/
Livvy13
Not sure if it's been brought up yet (and apologies if it has) but the best place I found was a Chinese place by the Other Stage. Can't remember the name of it for the life of me but it was awesome and situated about halfway in the selection of stalls circled. No idea if it's gonna be there again this year but hoping so and hoping it's in the same spot.

Fred Bear 1967
My three favourites that I'm hoping for a 2019 return: 1. The Hippie Chippie. 2. The Toastie Postie (I think) 3. Rockabilly Chilli (the best dirty nachos I've ever eaten)

I thought it was overpriced for what it was as well. Always good to remind people though if possible don't pay with £20 notes. Some dishonest staff will give you change of £10 in the hope that you don't notice because they assume people are hammered.

Yeh this happens a lot, I recall back in the 80s/90s when I did a lot of outside bar work all the staff being told by the bar manager if they dipped their fingers in the till he would break them, and him then telling staff to watch out for "w*nkered" punters and short change them if you wanted to make a few quid !! Always stuck in my mind, and now if I have to pay with large notes I always make a point of saying , "sorry Ive nothing smaller than a £20" , instantly warns them off trying

Quark
Unless I see absolute rave reviews for a place, I won't go back there if I've tried in and not enjoyed it. Mainly because there's so much other stuff to try!

In 2016 there was a stall doing triple cooked chips for (as I recall) a princely 4 quid. They were delicious enough I bought them more than once.
