With two main stages and essentially 6 main headliners, I hope it's actually 6 'headline quality' acts and not just that same old budget for three headliners essentially halved for each. Though if they can keep one rockier act and one hip-hop/pop act each night that would at least please most fans.

I think you're gonna be disappointed. It's ruled out loads of huge acts if they're all first-time headliners. I'd imagine it could go as low as The Wombats.

I can see them splitting the two main stages with one more rocky/indie/guitar music and the other a more pop/grime/rap stage

I don't think any dual main stage festival has done that before. And rightly so as different crowds don't need segregation at that level.

I accept that I'm getting older and more out of touch with the cool kids with each passing year, but if these predictions of the likes of LG, Dua Lipa, Dave, Catfish etc are accurate for headliners then Christ will that be disappointing.

Liam Gallagher was supposed to be headlining the festival this year?

Catfish won't be playing, I don't think. They're already down at Neighbourhood Weekender and maybe that Clapham Common gig too.

Can we all just agree to not spam Dan every 10 minutes asking if he knows anything?

We’ve asked him twice that’s enough, if he comes back he’ll say something if he doesn’t he doesn’t we’ve only got to wait till Monday

Im in the thinking that the 6 will be weaker than usual but it means we could be looking at 3 or 4 sub level artists with sub level artists underneath

Im assuming the R1is going

Yeah, but as the smallest headliner of the three, which is acceptable.

At this rate he's looking like the biggest.

He's a huge headliner. One of the biggest selling acts in this country. He's not Oasis but that hasn't stopped him from shifting tickets and albums wholesale.

    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
    • Temperature was the main issue - luke warm at best
