Pretty sure this time last year all the headliners had been announces I think the last time they'd not announced this late they talked The Killers into doing their only show of the year. So i'm guessing that's what happening this time too - not their only show of the year, but the killers.
dentalplan
Massive Attack and Arcade Fire later than this. Even the Rolling Stones when they played the first year, although obviously the first year it wasn’t established and people didn’t expect it earlier. Hope that's not true though. 3 of the headliners being repeats would be incredibly lame Edited March 5, 2019 by Gilgamesh69

One more on Saturday 6th July. I got ripped off for a ticket to see the who on the same day, chances are I’ll still be going as Adams will be on probably although I do like the thought of the wonder man playing. At Calling festival he was decent and worth the money for superstition alone ?

Nope, they know who their key demographic are - older people who will happily pay the ticket prices and then some for Golden Circle, VIP, early entry, etc. Last few years have followed the same pattern: heritage rock acts, pop superstars and the likes of Dion/Streisand/Buble. They usually throw in one more modern act (Florence) but I bet it’s usually the weakest seller.
