Is BD and NY still on?. Been taken down from the BST site and not on TM

You mean this one - https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/bob-dylan-neil-young-hyde-park-london-12-07-2019/event/3700557ABA30A0EC

:D

It's no longer a BST event as Neil YOUNG doesn't like the main sponsor - Barclays. It's going ahead but not promoted as BST

15 year return of their huge Hyde Park shows. Would love to see that. But didn‘t someone rule them out a few pages before?

People have been suggesting IOW as well. I don't see why they can't do both though, perhaps unlikely as I reckon theyll do 1 as a European exclusive or something.

The Strokes have got to be in with a minor shout although Latitude seems way more likely at this point.

Radiohead as a dark horse?

They wouldn’t do both because rival companies promote each festival.

Radiohead won’t play, Thom Yorke is touring solo.

The Strokes aren’t gonna play, they played a few years ago and it didn’t sell great. Might sell a bit better nowadays but they haven’t done anything since to warrant coming back.

It’ll probably be oldies or pop acts from here on out. That’s mostly what the festival is now aside from the odd exception. You should be less excited about it imo.

Yup, the organisers seem to know these days exactly who they want to market to and what will sell. As you say, it's mostly heritage rock acts and pop megastars, with a little sideline in older pop acts - Buble, Dion, etc.
