Latitude 2019

George Ezra seems like a bizarre fit for Latitude. I was at a toddler's party recently and one of his songs came on. The kids loved it. Which is great. But I don't see how his music fits with what Latitude has been doing for the last ten years. It's all well and good to ringfence him as a token act to get the kids in, but it's a slippery slope. Just take a look at the V line-ups from the 90s compared to more recent ones.

Don’t toddlers get in for free anyway? Big mistake.

Personally I think that him headlining Neighbourhood might encroach on Latitude a bit. If it’s three of The Strokes, Jaw Jezra, Lana Del Rey and Snow Patrol then I think he dips out.

Do u think there's a chance of all the headline rumours being true and there being a co-headline or not

It could just be a case of someone like George Ezra being there and not headlining. I'm still not convinced he's big enough and he's headlining Neighborhood in May.

I'm just praying the strokes rumor is true

George Ezra had the 2nd biggest selling album of last year in the uk, beaten only by the Greatest Showman Soundtrack but ahead of Ed Sheeran, Drake and Post Malone, Arctic Monkeys etc and when he played Glastonbury on the Other Stage (early eve slot) the field was rammed.

He could easily headline Latitude if that's what organisers went for.

He also headlined Boardmasters last year which is substantially larger than Latitude. Though granted you probably wouldn't typically realise the size difference judging by the respective lineups.

Boardmasters is bigger than Latitude? In capacity I assume you mean? Latitude capacity is 39,999 - what is Boardmasters?

Mind you, an extra 13,000 people at £200 each gives Boardmasters organisers an extra £2.6m budget over Latitude.

I'm sure Latitude make up the shortfall with those extortionate 'Latitude Luxury' packages, that don't even include a ticket!!!

    • Considering how popular of a booking Scooter have been I think they'd go down well
    • I mean I think unless you are camped in a particular bit which apparently you just get no sleep i feel it would be better setup to travel in from a hotel each day and back. Ah there is so many downfalls to it for me, I think the Download main stage area is so much better and that's coming from me. If you're camped in green to go round all the time and out for lidl and even water is stupid!
    • Did you camp or go for a hotel? I looked into it briefly and seems easy enough to get back to Nuremberg.
