What on Earth are you on about?

That’s a prediction for headliners.

As an aside, they might have stayed in the pods you were asking about. A not very funny or obvious joke, because I get bored at work

forgive me if this is a stupid suggestion but surely Tom Odell could fit latitude quite nicely?

Yes he could. I'd definitely be in the woods when he was on though. Bit like when Rag and Bone man was on this year.

Hey!  I am investigating how UK festivals are engaging with environmental issues as part of my undergraduate dissertation at Cardiff University. I am asking festival-goers to fill in a short (2-3 minute) survey on their views of this, and hope that you will take part!

The link to the survey is: https://getfoureyes.com/s/f893L/

If you wish to contact me for any additional information or queries my email address is: [email protected]

Thank you to anyone who takes part :)

does anyone know when tickets will be released as I swear they're leaving it a lot later this year

Historically Latitude is one of the last festivals to release the line up and tickets but this year tickets were actually released earlier than normal. Mid February I think it was. Frustratingly for those of us who can only do one day, they didn't release the day splits until much later. Really hoping that doesn't happen again in 2019.

A lot of festivals have started releasing tickets pre Xmas now to get the money in!

Bon Iver and The Cure are playing Nos Alive the weekend before Latitude. I reckon both have the potential to headline. The Cure could be the 'Big' Saturday headliner formula that Latitude seem to have adopted the past few years, that is unless Glasto have them.

Sounds pretty nailed on that Glasto do have them. And it also sounds like Bon Iver are headlining APE, so I doubt either will be at Latitude.

    • Sure enough I did finish the Brosnan Bonds. Goldeneye is good but I think might be overrated by some Bond mega-fans, The World Is Not Enough is ok but nothing more than that and Die Another Day is just wild. I didn't hate Die Another Day like some have but its basically a wacky sci-fi film with Bond movie clothes.
    • Monaco comes across to me as something that's great for just watching people driving around, especially this year as it feels like this is a track where they can actually push compared to other circuits where superclipping ruins it, but where the cars seem to have outgrown it.   Though tbf Formula E has had decent Monaco races recently so maybe its a sign of car development philosophy being a factor.
    • Feel like a lot of people do just sit around by the stage at a festival waiting for one act anyway, no? I know Swift has a big mega-fandom - she wouldn't have done so many Wembley shows last year if she didn't - but it's not like she'd be unique in playing a festival and drawing a crowd on that specific day just for her.   But then tbf I feel like there'd be a few happy just to mosy around the rest of the site until maybe 2/3 acts beforehand.
    • Pretty good imo. Though I'm aware my position of being a big fan means I'm biased.   Reminds me a little of Justice, which shouldn't be that much of a surprise given I've heard Justice played a lot in Muse's pre-show playlists over the years.
