Would Underworld be on in the early hours, or at a standard time, and would it be a full set? I've never took any notice of the WHP. I couldn't really manage it if it was the early hours, with needing to get back home the next morning in half a fit state.

Full live set yeah. Finishes at 4am so would be on around 2

Ah think that's a bit much for me. Cheers though. Aren't they meant to be releasing an album this year, or was the new music just the stuff with Iggy? Hoping for a UK tour at the end of the year.

So I won't miss much if I get there later? Thinking of flying to Manchester but the best one I can find doesn't arrive until 19:40. Guessing it'll just be DJs and stuff for the first few hours?

There's an EP of Iggy stuff out at some point this year

Yeah but last entry is 10:30 - not sure how strict that is but I think they were pretty hot on it for LCD last year

I doubt they'd be on at 2am. I'd probably say closer to 11pm-12am

Damn that'll be quality. Any more tour dates? Cos we all want the same things and all that.

They're both doing the Strummerville thing at Dingwalls but apart from that, Craig is supporting Brian Fallon on his tour and Jesse is doing some other dates with Chuck Prophet.

Fun fact kids, last time I saw Jesse Malin he gave me a free t-shirt cos he liked my Hold Steady Almost Killed Me one.

So I'm really on the fence about this Underworld thing. Based on previous WHP and Underworld gigs, would you say it's worth it? I'll be coming from Kent so its not exactly a quick journey

Underworld are incredible and its an interesting venue to see them in, but WHP is a bit shit really. It's outgrown its setting (hence why they're moving, I'm guessing with the ultimate aim to end up at Factory when/if it opens), it gettings fucking rammo, its expensive, they make you get in dead early...

Being in Kent, I'd wait for more dates, which there will inevitably be sooner or later.

Thanks. Not too clued up on Jesse Malin so his extensive dates don't suit me. Wouldn't go see Fallon just for Craig Finn either so I'll probs have to wait. New, proper Hold Steady tour shouldn't be far off anyway.

And that is a cool fact, but adds a lot of pressure to your t-shirt choice for their joint gig.

Anyone decent playing this night? I really wanna see Pusha T but I don't know anyone else.

Well AJ Tracey will likely be more popular than Push. He's pretty good. Flohio is pretty sick. Clams Casino produced Vince Staples' Norf Norf among other songs off Summertime 06, I haven't listened to his own stuff that much but what I've heard is good. Erm, Martha is a pretty good punk band from the North East... Idk just listen through 'em mate.

I was a bit too hasty and got a ticket before I saw your message. Oops. Now I just need to convince a friend to come...

In hindsight I do wonder how they're going to accommodate everyone as the main space is pretty small. Hopefully they put enough other acts in the other areas to split the crowd but surely most will be there to see Underworld? I actually preferred Victoria Warehouse to Store Street so I'm not too gutted that WHP will be moving after this season
